But this the internet. A quick google search would of taken care of that. But you felt is was more important to obnoxiously express that she was unknown.

I'm surprised people didn't know her but considering that GS is full of children, it makes sense. Most people who grew up in the 90's know of her hit songs. At the very least people should recognize some of her songs.

N30F3N1X

And a quick explanation would have taken care of our ignorance, but you felt it was more important to obnoxiously express that we shuold have known her a priori.

Flawless logic, right?

I agree with this comment, because people don't always listen to R&B, they have different music styles. I don't listen to rock or metal, and I only know less then a handful of band names, even less the band members. So if someone was to say "so and so broken up" or "the member from so and so has died", I would most likely not know because it wasn't my typical genre of music interest.

I think I might've heard something about her being allergic to bees, though I can't remember the source.

Yeah it was on Twitter yesterday that she had been stung to death by wasps. What a horrible way to go.

God yes, it must've been horrible. I freak out when I see even one of those things, I probably would've had a heart attack.

...actually, she might've died from a heart attack by seeing the wasps?

Sure they can get in somehow. Somehow made a nest or something.

A prank gone bad from a candid TV show, maybe.

Or yeah, they probably made a nest because of poor cleaning or possibly being in the air ducts.

While true, this sounds like a far fetched coverup for her drug issues.

Not really, means the tox-screen results are suitably inconclusive now. But I don't think it's a cover-up, death by wasp-sting is probably an Act of God.

I stayed at a great-looking hotel when I went to Summerfest last year and they found a wasp nest right in the air ducts. They only found that because I had to swat three of those little jerks away before I could get out, sleep in the car, and bring a complaint to the front desk the next morning.

Yeah, probably would've been a better way to go about that than sleeping in the car, but I seriously hate those bastards.

Right, but the struggling crack addict found dead in her hotel room due to bees sounds a bit much, IMO.

There have been weirder celeb deaths. Michael Hutchence was killed in an auto-erotic asphyxiation debacle. And it's not like there's no reported cases of hotels having insect problems.

But it is possible for wasps to be in your hotel room, as I found out. I bet I'm not the only person the planet who had this kind of experience. Also, allergy to bee or wasp stings isn't terribly rare.

WTF?? There are people who don't know who Whitney Houston is? I didn't even break into my 20s yet and I know who she is. How socially out of touch with society do you need to be to not know her? :? I mean, I'm the last person to pick up a "People" magazine or watch TMZ or listen to the radio, but how out of touch are people to not even hear the name be brought up, whether it be news, radio, word of mouth?? Well whatever, when thinking about it, I'll assume that whoever hasn't heard the name has at least heard one of her songs before, whether they knew it was her or not. Guarantee if most here who haven't heard the name heard one of her songs, they'd say "oh so THAT'S Whitney Houston!".

RIP

Finally that psycho can get some rest. She's better off, and the world is a now slightly better place.

I can't believe she was only 48. I was under the assumption that she was a lot older than that.

Gotta love all the dick comments about her death.

A lot of people have strong emotional moments connected to her music, can you even imagine the number of couples that had her songs be played at their wedding?

You mean Dolly Parton's song?

Songs =/= Song. But fine, her rendition of Dolly Parton's song. Happy?

I'll stop after this because I'm not a total douche. But I got to say it:

If she truely loved her 18 year old daughter, she wouldn't have spent the last 18 years as a junkie.

[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"] I'm not joking, I've never heard of her...sammyjenkis898

Chess and I are 22. Why on earth would I google her? I never heard of her. Should I have read a bio about her prior to posting here, then say "RIP Whitney. I'll miss you"? Nah, I'm fine with not knowing who she was and not caring about her death.

IF that was the case, a normal person wouldn't have posted at all and moved along, but you thought it was necessary to express how much you don't care.
