Who hates anime?

We all feel bad that you don't like japanimation. Watch some Spiderman. Better yet, go run up a mountain.

This is such a damn subjective topic. It's so annoying now.

I like watching anime.

I like it. I hardly ever watch it but I love the art style.:)VacantPsalm

I personally find it baffling when people say the art style in anime is crap... There's some very well drawn series out there with, as far as I'm concerned, gorgeous artwork......better than anything you'll find in any american cartoon.....guaranteed.

It's definitely not a bad idea. If I saw a book with some anime dude on its cover, I'd know not to read it without even having to open it up. Much more efficient than just reading through every book you lay your eyes on.

Well, I love art, so I appreciate it for what it is. People who say it isn't art, etc., are just too subjective for their own good and kidding themselves. Whether you like it or not though is a different story.

I do agree with other people it can be hard to get into sometimes though. I love some other "mainstream" movie stuff like Akira, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Machine, Evangelion, etc., but I won't tune in regularly to watch TV shows. I kind of "outgrew" that stuff after high school, but that's just me.

It seems kind of kiddy sometimes, but maybe that's because some shows are meant for children. I find it pointless to watch the anime porn stuff, as the real stuff is obviously better. However I do like the anime still-art a lot, and sometimes it can be very expressive and meaningful. From my experiences, usually people who don't like art/animation/cartoons won't like or watch anime, which is expected.

I do however wish comic book and anime women could really be built in real life like they are in art-form.

I tend to like to watch animes with more of a deeper story or more serious one, not the comedy stuff. But meh, I may strill check it out if I'm bored.

I watched the episodes in the order that they were released (so basically all messed up). SO the first episode was the one where they film their movie. My reaction was "what the hell is this? The camera isn't even 4:3." I stuck with it and loved it. I don't know how the story holds up to other animes but it's just enjoyable to watch. Personally I didn't understand all the supernatural stuff (maybe I'm dull) but it made it more interesting.

I used to try to read manga in junior high...but I just never got into it.
