who here has ever experienced racism?

I've had a little, it wasn't direct but I was in Hawaii for a few months and whites are kinda frowned upon in the villaige areas of Maui. Store clerks will be jerks to you if you're not hawaiin. I think its retarded because they're holding a grudge against whites because of when their islands were captured. I had nothing to do with that, I don't give a damn about it.

Racism all in all is really nothing to be taken seriousley. I mean it might be ****ed up if someone won't let you go somewhere or buy something because you're black, but calling a black person a ***** (n word) really shouldn't have any substance, I mean all it really points out is the obvious fact that they're black, and unless you're blind thats really no big mystery.

there is no such thing as a racist because everyone is the same so if you call someone a racist then you are also being racist towards that person by calling them a racist. Just my opinion and i think that these daysraisim hasbeen taken too far and people are using it in a wrong way.PSYCO109

i guarentee that it has absolutely nothing to do with race. it is this type of high sensitivity and finger pointing that keeps racism alive today.

When I was marking down stuff to register for college aid, I accidentally marked one of the minority boxes. I thought that this would be an interesting idea for a sociology report, so I mailed it in, and mailed in another with the right information. The one with the minority checked off got so much more from that college than the right one did, I considered contacting the college about it.

I got to thinking about it, though, and found that organizations like the NAACP, while advocating black rights, do so at the expense of white folk. How is it right for me to have to pay more for my college education than some black kid, with similar abilities, simply because I'm white?

I'm not excitable. I don't care what people say, because I don't alwaysknow what they are thinking. I don't care what othersthink, the point is do you think people blurt every opinion and thought out of their mouths?

Some people are just dumb. Their goal is to offend or irritate you AND you're so BRILLIANT that you take the bait. Apparently you don't have any important business nor any business to attend to so you have plenty of sparetime to care about the most useless andasinine affairs imaginable. You amuse him while he wastes your time. Like he really cares what you think or how you feel.

I guess some people need racism. It gives them a hobby and you a cause. Because without it there would be nothing to argue about nor fight over. It brings some people and while it gives the others purpose. Face it without racism there would be one less thing to fight over and that would be a bad thing, because people need a reason fight, to argue. It's the way they are.

People simply lack the ability to say *Okay, whatever. Anything you can think of I can think of. It's cliche anyway, so I've heard it all before.* For reason people care what others think for many reasons circling around a lack of wisdom and confidence.

I've witnessed racism.

Imagine that you're 5-6 years old. Your mother has just got back from Desert Storm a few weeks prior and you're on base with her while she's in uniform. Now, picture two guys passing by, snickering toward one another before they turn around and yell out: "Look, a monkey in a uniform!" "You can take 'em out of the jungle and get rid of their spear, but they're still apes."

I'm still surprised that she didn't break down and cry right on the spot. But she did take me home and show me the German Shepard bite wounds on her forearm courtesy of a sit in in Memphis. That's when she let me know that, no matter what people say or do to you, they can't take away your humanity.
