so is it wrong for an American to feel that a different nation does something better? i know many Americans that hate France but even they admit that America should take a page out of their book regarding nudity, cival partnership, and censorship.

Im sick of people calling anyone who has a differing opinion than that of the the government and isnt afraid to protest or have their voice heard un-American. The people who protest and are vocal about their opinions are true Americans. Waving the flag, putting your hand on your heart during the pledge and acting like Joseph McCarthy doesnt make you an American.

We're not saying you should love America, we're saying the people who are hating America are being complete morons about it. We, or at least I am, talking about the kind who say the government is corrupt for no good reason, saying other countries are so much better when they don't even have a single fact to back them up other than that hating america is the kool thing to do these days, and giving in to so many media scare tactics.
It's no wonder our entire election has been reduced to petty attack ads all over the media.

I wouldn't want to move anywhere else ... in Canada I have to pay for everyone elses healthcare. Although I would get to smoke whenever I wanted ... and in Britain they can ban games so that's a no go. Tons of similar situations in other countries.

Hey milk bags are expensive, I had to pay 20 bucks for 6 bags of milk, but you are right it is better than carton milk in terms of taste.
They not free thinkers though. The "hip kool" thing to do as media has us taught is to hate america. They're just following trends. I ask a lot of these people who hate america the basic question of "Why?" and they never have a real answer. The reality is a lot of america hate spawns from a trend, not from "free thinking".
I dont expect people to be patriotic. In fact i'm against being too patriotic, and I'm in no way a patriot. I just hate it when these American bash the US on everything, despite the fact they have probably never been anywhere else. They are just as blind as the people they insult.
This is extremely common among Japanophiles who criticize anything American and support Japan over everything. It is also common among liberals who love to boast how more troops die everyday in the middle east, and think that Europeans are correct in all walks of life, despite never having been there.

It can be annoying when people b**** about how bad life is here, because your life at other countries can be alot worse. Well from my school atleast, because the majority of the students are middle class/high class, i could understand if you were dirt poor and just trying to make a living but alot of people i see complaining are people who live very fortunate lives, and they complain how they can't get an ipod or a new car, etc.
