No offense TC, but I think you'll find they are mighty sick of you.

And I think you'll also find there are still more old style patriots than 'un-Americans'. What IS an un-American? Is it someone who doesn't hold your particular views about the country sacred?

But hold on, that would mean you are basically attacking their right to freedom of speech?

Doesn't that make YOU un-American?

And thats basically the way I have always seen it. People who still believe in dinosaur ideologies will complain and roar as their failed way of life sinks to the bottom of a tar pit, attacking everyone for what they believe in and without possibly accepting the fact that they might actually believe it; NO THEY COULDN'T, could they? They are JUST DELUDED, AREN'T they?!

News flash. Not everyone is a dumb as you think. Not every teenager is uninformed. And they have every right to say what they want, it makes them more American than someone who conforms to the institution. America isn't defined by the institution. Its defined by its constitution. Like every other nation out there (except mine because for some unknown reason we don't actually have a constitution...).

Being critical of what someone says doesn't mean you don't support freedom of speech. If that was the case, Presidential candidates would obviously not have debates.

And most teenagers are uninformed, but thanks for your opinion

I agree, most teenagers don't know what the heck they are talking about.

I am annoyed by people who bash America for no reason at all, just doing it to look "cool", or "mature", like complaining about removing a hat at a game.

That doesn't mean you have to be a patriot......and there is nothing wrong with being one as long as it is just all good in spirit, and doesn't turn into some extremist thing.

Eh, I am not too fond of our culture and society, and I do not consider a down-the-line yes-sir to be a "true" American -- granted, my opinion on being a "true" American is quite low, as the only legitimate qualification of being a "true American" that I can establish when considering the philosophies that this nation is supposedly founded on is citizenship.

The definition of an American varies from state to state I've found out.
