From what I see, it's for people who want to boost their self esteem by looking at how many "friends" they have, and how they can get more.
I don't see a lot of people using it as the 'catching up with friends' thing it's used for.

I think how much importance and the addiction people have to "social networking" and cell phones is a really bad trend that is slowly destroying normal communication in this nation and regressing our society in ways. Having said that, I use it occasionally to keep in touch with distant relatives, friends, and people I went to school with. Since almost everyone has a Facebook now, its really easy and convenient to find people I haven'tspoken to in a long time. I do think it is lame in general though so I try not to use it to much.
There's nothing wrong with Facebook. It's a great way to stay in touch with people or reconnect with old friends.
It's not awesome, it's good though. Gaming on Facebook is lame but going on in general isn't. I use it as a good way to share photos from parties and keep in touch with old friends :)tofu-lion91What? Uno on FB is pretty good when your bored :(

I don't either, and that's the only thing that bothers me about Facebook. A lot of it consists of people remembering a person they met once in passing and then adding them to their list to bolster it and their self esteem. Please Log In to post.
