Who killed Jesus Christ and why?

A lot of people seem to believe that the Jews had a lot of say and influence on Rome and Pilate to put jesus to death, but if history of jews has taught me anything, its that their voice was rarely ever listened to.

so please someone clarify, why did rome/pilate want jesus dead? what did he do? did the jews have any influence on the sentencing of jesus?

And he did it to save us. With Christ dying in place of our sins, more people can become forgiven, and have Christ live within us through the spirit.

Whats the spirit. Well, God wanted to save humanity. So in order to get from heaven to Earth, he needed a way for his people to abandon their foolish ways and go to heaven when the time comes. Well, with human nature that wasn't going to happen. So Christ came to take our place. Thus, Christ came to Earth to give us the spirit, so that through Christ we are forgiven and can live with the Father when he calls us home.

You can't get from point A to C without B. Thats Christ's part.

so heres what im getting so far, pilate knew he committed a crime by saying he was the king of jews. so he asked the jews what should be done, they suggested crucifixion, and under his authority gave the green light. so he said it was ok, but only cause it's what the jews wanted. why should pilate give a **** about the jews tho?

Pontius Pilate ordered the death of Jesus by popular demand. Pilate was a Roman governor of Jewish territory; Christ was originally tried for blasphemy by the Jewish Pharisees, then sent to Pilate.

So both Rome and Judea had a role in His death.

Tacitus, Josephus, Thallus, Pliny, Lucian, Suetonius, Mara Bar-Sarapion and the Talmud all reference Christ at some point. It is the consensus of the historical community that Jesus did exist; Christ-mythicism is nothing more than Young Earth Creationism in the historical field.

K i know you got that from the bible and I'm not going to get in a debate of whether or not the bible is an accurate historical document. However, if you read up on Pilate you'll find that he was an extremely cruel man and nowhere is it written in history, besides the bible, that he ever gave a crowd the choice to release prisoners. Pilate also was not a fan of the Jewish influence and very rarely interacted with the religious leaders of the time. Just throwing that out there

Jesus does not approve of Jew-hating, that much is certain. He is a morally perfect individual and I will not accept that he had a hand in the poor treatment of the Jews post-Crucifixion.

This is why I do not question Christianity, I believe it is pure. Instead, I question the majority of it's fake followers that see it as a free ticket to getting away with sin.
