I've been meaning to ask for a while - what's the difference between your orange Mod and purple Mod thing under your name?

Global and board mod tags. It's unnecessary, though, since board mod tags are only useful on private boards. Obviously if someone is a global moderator they're also a moderator for every single board on the site.

CNET customer service for GS http://gamespot.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/gamespot.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php
Most of the old e-mails and contacts have been changed or erased, but I still report every single moderation directly to CNET along with a complaint about their TOS being too broad and undefined. They reserve the right to do whatever they want, but if enough people complain, then maybe they'll listen.

I knew someone would say that :P
I was waiting for it. As I've said before, we are all sinners in the hands of an angry ModSounds like a lot of work.CNET customer service for GS http://gamespot.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/gamespot.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php

So you CAN get moded? Even if you're a mod?
Of course. We aren't above the rules, in fact, we are just regular users with a few extra powers. We still post all over the place. The thing is, it's rare that you see a mod break the rules, since we know them so well.[QUOTE="go-cizmek"][QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"]G and M mods are over I-mods, M-mods are over G-mods, and Admins are over all of us.cell_dweller

Well, thanks for the answer.

The hackors mod any site .. Right kiddies ?
but seriously it is the web providers who police an /sell this web space ...they can pull the plug to the node in a heartbeat ..

Send a customer service inquiry, those we can't see ;)Well... the mod who got reported can't see it, but all of the other mods can. If it's a blatant abuse of the reporting system, an abusive mark usually follows that. When a mod legitimately steps out of line, it's better to go to Customer Support to go straight to the admins.
The best part about being a mod is that you learn where the boundaries are, and how easy it is to tiptoe along them without faceplanting on the other side. :PDJ_Lae*digs random hole in front of the X-Mod*
