I plan on seeing it on Day One, Friday. Initially, I wasn't excited about this movie because its first trailer was underwhelming. However, its second trailer and the clip which was aired at the MTV Movie awards changed my feelings about it; at the very least, I think it will be a good way to burn two hours, and at most, it will be a very good movie that will resonate with me for quite some time after I see it. How about you guys?

Considering how good X-Men and X2: X-Men United were, this will undoubtedly be amazing.

I lost interest in those films. I'm going to see Godzilla for the 2nd time though. I want to catch it while I can still check it in Imax.

I'll probably go Friday right after lunch so I can avoid the children that will be blowing up the theater that night. That's what I did when Winter Soldier came out last month.

Going for the first time in IMAX this weekend. As far as this X-Men movie, I'll just wait until the home release. I lost a lot of interest in the series after The Last Stand, and I've yet to watch First Class.

First Class was easily my fav X-Men movie. It is actually way up there as one of my fav superhero movies in general. I highly recommend watching it.

Does anyone know why Wolverine has holes in his chest?

Wasn't that from the 'X-Men Wolverine' flick where the scientists hooked up the tubes and injected him with adamantium?

Indeed. First Class was one of the best X-Men Movie so far and they made Magneto a badass in this movie but the funny thing is that he act like a Jedi only without the Lightsaber only because his powers were kinda like using the Force in some ways but still, he was a badass. Seeing him in Days of the Future Past is going to be cool.

@Audacitron First Class has been on FX channel for a while now, so you might want to check that out.

He has a healing factor; they would have closed up. Also, they weren't present in X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X3: The Last Stand, and The Wolverine, all of which take place - chronologically - after Origins.

Lets count how long it takes and how many times Hugh Jackman takes his off top off.

He usually does it at least three times. I counted about 6-7 in The Wolverine.

I'd be psyched to see it had it been directed by same guy who did First Class. Bryan Singer? No thanks. Didn't like any of his previous X-Men films plus with this scandal he's expected to be involved in...nah, no thanks.

Whats wrong with Bryan Singers direction? Admittedly, the first xmen movie had sort of a cheap feel at times.

But Xmen 2 really sorted it out imo. Particularly the fight scenes. First Class had some pretty great action scenes as well mind,

While we are on the topic of first class, I watched it a few days back, why did Magneeto use a metal claw to take off Sebastian Shaws helmet when the thing was metal anyway? I'm sure some pimply faced geekaziods picked this up years and years ago, but am slow.

Why do people put First Class on a pedestal? It's mediocre and doesn't compare to X2.

I think First Class falls under the category of good not great. I loved the exploration of the relationship between Magneto and Xavier, but ultimately the action was fairly lackluster (with the exception of the coin scene near the end). And Yeah X2 is still probably the best the series has had to offer.

Just came home watching it , its like rest Bryan Singer X Men movies , good but not great. No Magneto theme above all. Matthew Vaughn ( Director of First Class ) should have directed this.

Isn't that from The Wolverine when he gets shot after "losing" his healing factor and getting patched up the old-fashioned way? =P

EDIT: nevermind; I thought they might have said "We need a cool still for Wolverine, let's just use a shot from the previous movie" but that's not the case

Guess his healing factor was just kicking in at the time...

From this video and the way his veins are bulging up when he gets shot it looks like the bullets might be coated with something that may impair his regen (shit's getting old >_>)

Wouldn't say it's "mediocre" but definitely agree Xmen 2 is better. The themes seem more blunt and ham fisted than Xmen 2.

For example. In Xmen 2, Pyro is abit of a dick before he joined Magneeto and needs stopped by Rogue. He attacks the police. So when he joins up, it's makes sense.

In First Class, Angel seems to have no indication of being bad or motive other than two CIA agents making fun of her. After Shaw basically, butchers everyone, she just nods her head "hmm hmm I'll join". Then goes on to operate a submarine and attempt to commence a world wide annihilation flying round spitting acid at people. Stupid.

In Xmen 2 the Romance with Wolverine all logically carries over from the last film, including Raven who makes reference to how he stabbed her.

In First Class, Xavour gives Mactaggert a big wet passionate kiss. even though, no apparent romance indication existed at all before hand, throughout the entire movie.

It's madness, fucking madness.

He has trouble distinguishing movies from reality, I doubt that he even realizes what's going on in that theater.

dear god, he says he's waiting to see it which means it's not on as of yet thus he's annoying nobody.
