Seriously, who the hell even approves of Bush's job as a president anymore? The right hates him for the Guest Worker program, the ACLU hates him for signing the Patriot Act into commission and torturing prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, the left hates him for pretty much screwing up our country, the family of those deployed in Iraq hates Bush for not bringing our troops home....

I don't disagree that everyone that can vote, should. That wasn't my argument. My statement plainly contradicts that the Majority of America doesn't vote, which is far from the truth.

During Clinton's rule, our country had a surplus. Now, thanks to Bush and his administration, we're trapped in a trillion-dollar deficit to China our children will have to pay for.

And don't even get me started on torture. We're holding prisoners over at Gitmo without the right to a fair trial just because "they could be terrorists". In most cases, we haven't even found any evidence to suggest that they are indeed plotting to harm our country.

Ok genious. The enabling act was put forth becuase Hitler told his country that there were poeplewithin germany terroizing the country, such as communists. Therefore, hitler proposed a plan of national security where the government will be given the right to arrest, search and seizure, trial, torture any person FOR ANY REASON with out providing proof that they are terrosists. Much like the patriot act (and if you dont belive the patriot act does that then you really need to look into it before you argue with me).

To this end, the public got very scared about these so called "terrorists" and voted the plan in with an over whelming majority. This in turn caused the incarceration of millions of jews who were, under the enabling act, terrorists. Furthermore, the holocuast errupted from these events and Hitler was given COMPLETE power of Germany, through legal activities.

Yes, so an organization that is dedicated to making sure our government doesn't lose sight of our freedom in the pursuit of security is composed of hippies?

Also, while I do acknowledge there are several people with family members deployed in Iraq who support the war, a majority of them are just now realizing that their loved ones are in danger of dying or dead just so Bush can complete what his father started and want them to come home safe and sound.

Only about 220 million Americans are of legal voting age. I believe turnout during a presidential election year usually averages around 50 - 60%, but I could be off.

The ACLU hates people for just being white Christians, so having the ACLU hate you isn't too hard to do. The Left hates him because he is Republican.

The current Misery Index is 7.19. So America is actually liking how the country is being run (economically) right now. And if the Misery Index stays below 10 I expect the next president to be a Republican also... unless Al Gore decides to run as the Republican nominee.

I'll tell you why blue collar working class votes Republican. They don't want to pay higher taxes. All these Utopian ideas of free healthcare and such ARE NOT FREE. Most Americans realize this. So those Blue Collar workers who aren't earning millions of dollars don't want to give the government more of their money. Nor do they want to give more of their hard earned money to poor people who won't stop having babies and won't get a job (most don't do this but there are too many that do).

I agree with half of what you said. But... i'm not stuck on the idea of free healthcare eather. The entire world has gone to H3LL because it is always every man woman and child for themselves. The main cause of course '''money and greed'''. I will elaborate in my own words on what you said about poor people. Your right, they dont want to work and mostly have too many kids but there is a reason. They just don't know any better. They cant get a job because no one wants to hire someone that wasn't put through school. ..and they didn't go to school because they probably started out being poor. And because they don't know anything, they are brainwashed by republicans to vote for them. Its not completely their fault. Just think about how hard it would be for you to be taught only basic life skills and go find a job to support 2 or more kids. Everyone should work together but that is not how it works in todays society. Its a real shame but also reality.

What alternate world are you living in? In the year 2000 right before Bush even was elected the U.S. was 5.6 trillion, all Clinton did was have a budget surplus that lower the debt for like a year, he never erased the dept entirely, that will never happen.

The reason we use the electoral college is because California and a few New England states would be electing the president. So in a nation of 50 states 6 of them would be electing the nation's politicians.
