Who would win in a war? Canada VS Russia

I know Canada would win...Russia is the Soviet Union and everything, but Canada has JTF2 and sheer firepower. Who do you think would win?

In a straigt fight, I'd say Russia. But the USA and Europe would probably be backing up Canada, so they'd win, really.bangell99

Russia has long distance rockets that can hit with pin point precision on almost the other end of the globe. Those rockets can be fired from sub-marines which is very hard to track or find.

JTF2 is a special force unit, which main task is counter terrorism. A special forces unit's main tasks is to take out leaders etc and do tasks that the main military cannot. It is not designed to take out an entire invasion force, nor is it big enough to do so.

Russia also has a big advantage when it comes to satelites and intelligence, if executed correctly Russia could create a blitz war, and take out key military targets without Canada ever knowing what hit them.

do you know how much of Russia's spending goes to the military? In a land war, Canada wouldn't have much of an advantage considering much of the climate is similar.

Just in a sheer numbers aspect, Canada wouldn't stand a chance in a 1 on 1.

iran isnt iraq, its highly sophistocated, they gave jamming devices to the lebanese resistance during 2006 when it was fighting israel, which made israel less sucessful. Iran is loaded with missles which could even reach europe which israel warned about and iran has bought jets from russia. Russia (im 99% sure) the largest supply of missles and explosives, and not to mention the Tzar Bomba. The most terrifying and destructive weapon man has created. Thousands of times stronger than the bomb on Hirosima. That bomb could cover a small country.

You have to look at the sheer population comparison. There are around 35 million people living in Canada while there are close 145 million people in Russia, meaning the the Russian military is most likely larger. Also, the Russian military can be considered more "experienced" and battle ready (I use these terms loosely but Russia has been more militarily active over the past 20 years that would dictate a more ready and experienced operation.).

In a straight one to one fight, Canada would be absolutely destroyed.

Russia out spends it, has a larger military, has better intelligence networks, etc.

Not to mention nuclear weapons.

Canada would never be able to invade and hold Russia. Russia on the other hand would probably just use their vast intelligence networks and superior firepower to completely destroy every major Canadian target, invasion wouldn't even be necesary.

Someone once told me that there isn't enough Canadian soldiers to cover 1 mile of our coastline each. His dad's in the military.. but still not sure if it's true.

I think Russia would be able to take Canada.. since I'm pretty sure they would be able to take the US too. But I'm fairly sure the UK has both our backs..

Altough poor Russia has a large army , MUCH larger than Canada's and they would most likely win because they have nuclear Missles and one of the most deadly weapons in the world , the AK-47 altough inacurate , this weapon packs a punch and are very easy to manurfacture. Assuming Canda had the back up of America , Great Britan and all the democratic countrys (wich they would) they would win easily.
