I love Apple for some of their products but specifically for me the Ipad is a waste of money so I won't get one and neither do I have any of the other Ipads. As for the name I really hope they find something better than"The New Ipad"
I give Apple cred for actually updating the hardware because that is something that we usually burn them on (honestly you could buy a laptop with roughly the same specs for the price of this new ipad), but no I won't be buying the new ipad. Nothing personal, but I don't have an extra $500 to burn.
Plus I really find that tablets in general lean more towards gaming and can do buisnes if you want it to, where as a pc/laptop/mac lean more on the side of business, but can also be a gaming machine if you really want it to. Honestly I use the business side of my pc more than I use it to game so it still appeals to me more than the ipad.
One thing I do find surprising is Apple's lace of significant software additions. Now maybe the dictation i revolutionary in how good it is, but if not.......well I've had a dictation app on my ipod touch for a long time and it's not that exicting. Software, beyond anything has set Apple apart from it's competitors. So again it's surprising to see very little added in that regard.
Yup, if you follow apples trend. If you buy "The New iPad" now, does it become "the old The New iPad" a year from now?

The screen is sexy, but if I wanted to buy an overpriced thing, it would be a Lenovo U300 or Macbook Air.Guppy507Should wait till MacBooks are 2560x1440 res
The screen is sexy, but if I wanted to buy an overpriced thing, it would be a Lenovo U300 or Macbook Air.Guppy507I'm not so sure this is over-priced tbh, which may be a first for Apple. It has a quad core processor, a very nice screen, a solid state hard drive, a 5mp camera, and probably the slickest OS (yes it's a factor) available on any tablet. All that for $500. I could get a laptop that has roughly the same features for a similar price. Did I really just type that?

Lets say you didn't have a computer of any kind, and your choice was a laptop or an iPad. You'd choose the laptop because it can do so much more than an iPad can. You have a full keyboard, full powered CPU, probably a 15 inch screen since that's what most cheap laptops are, at least 250 gigs of storage, and running a full operating system. It won't be as sexy as an iPad, but it will be far, far more useful to you.
There should've been an option that said "Hell NO!" Because that's how I feel towards any Apple product.
Not me. I just brought an iPad 2 last week. And the higher screen resolution doesn't impress me much.helwa1988You'd have to be stupid not to return it ASAP :|
