I mean, really? This week I told someone at the Summer Camp I am going to that I am an atheist. Now, no one even talks to me and they call me "Devil Worshiper." Seriously?

The world is a highly Christian if not religious place. This is why people look down on Atheists, and I'm sometimes ostracized for questioning the word of Christ.
I don't know, man, I'm an atheist but no one hates me even after flat out telling them I don't go for God. Or at least they make it seem like they don't hate me.
[QUOTE="JML897"]:? Is it some sort of religious summer camp? mr_poodles123No, just a regular YMCA type camp.
Fun fact: YMCA means Youth Men's Christian Association.
A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices. The correct use of the term requires the elements of intolerance, irrationality, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs.
Either that or they're just annoyed because, if you're right, they've given up a lot of fun stuff and wasted a lot of time at church :)
Because they're hypocritical and illogical. Thats why I hate atheism

Religious acceptance is generally programmed into people, and religiously-trained minds have a narrow spectrum of acceptance. Essentially, in their eyes, you're committing one of the most disgusting, and revolting sins imaginable. There's nothing wrong with you, trust me. It's okay to not blindly accept something because a book or your parents say so. Curiosity and a lack of gullibility are your greatest assets in an intellectual realm. Understand that if people will show hatred because you don't subscribe to their preferred mystical deity, it's probably a sign that maybe you wouldn't have gotten along anyway. See it as a plus, popularity is not everything. Keep in mind, any way of thinking that would initiate a ubiquitous despisal of you out of nowhere is probably rotten to begin with, especially because you've done nothing wrong but expressed a harmless opinion.

Never said they weren't. but atheists bug me alot more then religious people because
1-They're generally more stuck up (and I think just looking at the posts so far is proof enough)
2-and they criticize the idea of faith, when what they believe is based on the same faith as religion
I just don't like the idea of any sort of belief of life after death that people try to logicalize

Exactly what I'm talking about. Its the belief that there isn't a god.

Atheism, under the broad definition, is the lack of a belief in a god. There's a difference.

Generally more stuck up = ad hominen. Plenty of religious people are as well, many athiests are passive. So what? It has nothing to do with the stance either way, only individuals.
Atheism is a lack of faith, not a faith. If atheism is a faith then not collecting stamps is a hobby.
I don't even know what your last sentence means.

Lacking a belief in God =/= believing there is no God

No...... there isn't. Lacking a belief in god requires a belief that there isn't one.

To bad atheists aren't anti-belief but they just don't believe in a higher power.

That would be agnostic. The most common definition of atheism is a belief that there is no higher power.
