By the exact Dictionary Definition, Possibly. By Society, I don't think so. There's still nothing to prove those people were Christians anyway. Snipes_2

I was going with the dictionary definition. I would assume that those people were likely Christian. Albeit, not very charitable ones.

They could have been anything though which is my point.

Unlikely scenario. Regardless, the persecutors being Christian is not necessary in order for a group to be persecuted.

[QUOTE="Snipes_2"] They wouldn't be Christian f they were Mormon. Snipes_2

They consider themselves Christian. It's your opinion that they aren't, even considering the wide variety of beliefs "Christians" have. ;)

But like I said, it's irrelevant what religion the haters in question were.

No, I posted a Site that compared them and IF you look it up they are classified as their own Religion(Church of Latter Day Saints).

I don't care about what you classify them as, to be honest (no offense). If you ask one of them they'll generally say they consider themselves somewhat Christian. I consider that part fairly important, seeing the wide varieties of belief that Christians as a group have.

The people in this town, however, were most likely Christian (even according to your definition).

However, that's still irrelevant to whether this is harrassment or not.

Somewhat Christian? How does that work....one either is or is not. As for Mormons...they have some basic tenets that are opposed to Christianity and as such are disputed for that reason. Whether one chooses to include them as Christian does not erase the tenets that don't quite agree with Christianity.

However, in regard to this discussion......no one has to agree with anothers beliefs...that does not mean a child calling someone a name is persecuting or harrassing another. Otherwise we can say almost all children persecute.

Like conservatives are hurt by people like Glenn Beckdercoo
How much Glenn Beck do you actually watch? It seems like people who spend their time treating him like a pariah have rarely done any more research into his positions than listening to sound bites of some of the more controversial things he has said, many times taken out of context. Do you watch Beck on a regular basis?

I watched him for a few hours once and I have never seen any newscaster or commendatory spend more air time talking about celebrities in my life other than on E! All of it by the way was complaining about excessive news coverage of celebrities on other news stations of which don't actually happen. He is a cry babSEANMCAD
You must have watched him before he got his own show. I rarely see him talking about celebrities. He spends more times laying out arguments (which few people ever really address and just besmirch his name instead).
