why are people in iraq who fight against americans called "terrorist"

ok so lets say tomorrow Russia attacks the U.S and invades it, there is no army because the us in INVADED.

The Russian soldiers are raping american woman, killing innocent people and basically ruining our country just like americans are in U.S( and dotn tell me they dont rape or kill innocents people because its on the news all the time)

Wouldnt you fight, not for your president or the country, fight to protect your people, to get the invaders out your country, to get the life you had once back. The Russians came and bomboed your city, killed your friends, destroyed your life, you would fight them wouldnt you? All the rage that would be built inside you, what if they killed all your family, wouldnt you fight them, fight for the people of your country?

Now tell me why are these people you kill american soldiers who have invaded their country, ruined their lives, raped their women, killed innocent people and kill their family called terrorist? These people aren't terrorist they are freedom fighters who are fighting the people who have ruined a country they worked so hard to build.

I know if some country invaded the U.S. i would pick up my 22 and M1911 .45 and go to war, i would fight till im dead because either way you lose everything.

All i want to know is that WHY people call these fighters terrorist?

Rape, torture, and collateral damage are not institutionalized by the U.S. military in any way. The rules of engagement are quite inhibiting to soldiers in combat situations, actually, and it has gotten more than a few killed. There are knuckleaheads in every organization in every country on earth, but it does not mean they represent the whole. Those who fight the Americans in I Iraq are allclassified as terrorists because their colleagues engage in torture, beheadings, disregard the Geneva Convention, regularly kill civilians deliberately,wish to regress to a society that resembles the Middle Ages, and fight under umbrella organizations such as Al Queda in Iraq that are classified as terrorist organizations by the governments of most industrialized countries.xXBuffJeffXx

but i bet if russia attacked u.s and some millitia group started and saw people supporting the russians i bet these people would blow them up, behead them and torture them for helping the enemy of the U.S.(i forgot the word for it) which is the BIGGEST crime you can commit. And to answer the TC's question, the reason they are terrorists is because they routinely use the tactic of killing civilians to forward their goals.

One thing that you seriously overlooked, TC, is that these people you claim are "freedom fighters" are not even native born Iraqis. They are extremists brought into the countryby Al Qaeda in Iraq from various countries throughout the Middle East.

Geographically the United States is nearly impossible to invade, so your paragraph is nullified from your first sentence. If they did happen to get past our Navy in the Atlantic or Pacific, they would be destroyed before coming close to the US. The Cold War is over the US won, Russia isnt nearly as strong as you think it is.

The difference here is the the US is attacking the armed militants (the terrorists) and only them. Sure, there are soldiers that screw off and disobey, but overall they only use violence against the enemy.

However, those enemies are terrorists because they have the intention of killing innocent people and the opposing side as well as causing terror (hence the name) by whatever cruel means they can (televised executions, putting babies in microwaves, suicide bombs, etc) for the cause of spreading Islam to everyone in the world, eliminating those who stand in their way, cleansing the nonbelievers.

ALSO, the United States uses a lot of precision weapons, accurate M16s (with 3-round burst fire to avoid spray and conserve ammo), laser-guided bombs, such. We have yet to deploy a single MOAB, BLU-82 (Daisy Cutter), carpet bombing, or gravity bomb (dumb fire) of any sort in Iraq (except maybe against the Taliban in the immediate aftermath of 9/11).

Speaking of 9/11, anyone who calls that anything but terrorism needs to be punched. Flying a plane full of innocent people into a major civilian structure can't possibly be called anything else.
