Why can't I get drunk?

17, 155 lbs, 6'2". You need to drink more in a shorter time period; you are metabolizing the alcohol before you can feel "drunk". I had the same problem in high-school (17, 150 lbs, 6'1"). I scientifically proved the advice I gave you by drinking 1 pint of Blue label Smirnoff, straight, in less than 15 minutes without puking my guts out; I was high as a kite...good times...

This is true as well. As someone that consumes 6k calories a day and still only weights 160 at 6'2, I have found I need to drink faster to feel the effects. Which is really nice in some situations where I want to remain sober. However, as much as you drank, you could have the fastest metabolism in the world and still be ****faced, that is unless it was over like 6 hours. Even then, you were at least feeling it, even if you don't realize it.

That doesn't make any sense. The beer, maybe, just because it takes so much longer to drink enough, but the vodka part is just wrong. Vodka usually is 35-40% alcohol, which is also about the same as pretty much all liquors, that's the only number that matters for getting drunk. You can't say otherwise because that's just a measure of ethanol.

Also, don't do that many Jager bombs, it's not particularly safe, or healthy (much worse for you than just alcohol) because it jacks with your heart.

To the TC, just get a bottle of everclear, don't drink it straight, but if that won't get you drunk then you should donate yourself to science.

I guess it depends more on what you buy, but most bottles I've seen say 40%, though some vodka will be 35%, and a 5% difference means you get .075 less ounces of alcohol per shot, which really isn't a big difference at all.

Sure, all alcohol is bad for you, but that's like saying cheese isn't worse than just heroin. It's still worse and you need to be careful.

As for me, I drink pretty much whatever is in front of me. I'm not a big fan of beer, I prefer liquor, in particular a good rum.

Personally, I like staying in sober-mode and I'm always in sober-mode, since I don't drink.

Why get drunk? With all the stupid things you might do while in that state?

Drink a high caffeine energy drink like NOS before you start, or mix it with your vodka. Something about caffeine and alcohol that really amplifies drunkeness.General_X

Ok so now i got it all figured out. I'm heading out for another party next weekend and i'll bring a two-liter vodka, which will be chugged in less than 1 hour + there will be tequila shots etc. OMG if i dont get drunk.....i'll destroy the internet in anger.colibriosis
