Why do Americans hate the French?

Don't be using double standards here dude. Every country does it. As for snarky people...I have heard the same about the big cities in France but that the people in the more "country" areas are nice.

Of coarse I won't even begin to generalize the French, but about 90% of the French people that I play with over Xbox LIVE have something to say to me that is not nice simply because I'm an American. So perhaps Americans hate the French because the French hate Americans. :PLikeHaterade

The media hates the French, and it is not solely an American concept. Even England hates the French.

I dont think Americans hate the French; they might repeat what they hear on the TV and Radio, but thats the extent imo.

What are you suggesting the connection is? Are you crediting the US with the allied victory in world war 2? IIRC from high school history class, that had more to do with the British holding out long enough to turn against the Soviet Union, which in turn had policies like the scorched earth policies that overwhelmed the Nazis.

And as I've said repeatedly before, unless you can change the past, you can't really test these theories, so how can you be so sure?

Read any time life books and the Air War in Europe.

Actually, after the war, based on declassified documents, the Germans were THAT close to conquering England. Had "Dumbskof" Adolf Hitler bit his tongue and carried out the all out assult on British Airbases and and radar installations, in two more months, the RAF would've been swamped! Unbeknown at that time, hidden from the British public, the RAF was down to only arond 350 fighters, the worst being pilot attrition (only around 200 or so), another two month and that numer would've dropped to less than 100 and "Operation Sealion" would've been carried out! The switch to bombing London and other cities, The "Blitz" gave RAF a badly needed breather to replenish men, material and most importantly, more fighters! In fact, the first few missions, the Germans went unopposed over British cities because the badly damaged RAF was still down for the count! But soon, the RAF got itself back up and delivered the knock out punch at the German Luftwaffe, halting the invasion, all due to Hitler's mindless anger!

Not without the amount of material U.S. produced during WW II.

It was Churchill who said it was Britain that provided the time, Russians provided the blood and the Americans who provided the resources to win the war.

He wasn't kidding. From the Period of 1942-1945, U.S. produced SSSOOOOO MUCH war materials, especially "Liberty Ships" that ran the U-Boat gauntlet to supply the British isles that it simply swamped the Germans (and the Japanese), to give you an idea of how much the U.S. produced during that period. Take all the materials made by the British, then German, French, Japanese, Russian and Italy (the principle participant of WW II), add them all up and then compared it to U.S. total war production. The end result will be shocking! What the U.S. produced in 4 short years will still have at least 33% more than all the combined materials of all the other participant added together!

It's not to say U.S. single handly won the war. But one sure fact, without U.S. help, it would've been a LONG time before the war ever ended!

actually the english dont like them either and the frensh on the other hand dont like americans as well

but am not an american nor frensh , it looks at least to me that anyone that dont like american people has a problem , they're much more friendly than europeans

The Italian history was pretty funny. There is a famous picture with the caption: SavoiaCavalleggeri (Cavalry Regiment) charge on the Eastern Front. Or something of the sort.

From what I've learned, we have this thing with the French because it was way way back in Anglo-Saxon times British tribes or something lost the war and the French treated them badly. Since then it has sort of carried on. Or was that with Old english? With our curse words being way back. I just lost myself -_-.darkfox101
