I always take my shoes off, unless I"m wearing dress shoes or I'm only in the house for a second.

Not all Americans wear their shoes inside, I'm Asian so I was taught to always remove shoes when getting inside and slip into slippers, although now that I've moved here to the states I've gotten the habit of keeping my shoes on, most likely just laziness, I have to remove my shoes in other friend's houses
Well I was raised that you don't take off your shoes until the house owner says it's ok. mrmusicman247Thats funy, because when I enter someone's home I always ask if they want me to take my shoes off. I don't like to assume that I can wear my shoes in their homes, dirtying up their carpet.
Becuase our feet stink. If all Americans took off their shoes when entering their house everyone would die.
I was always raised to take your shoes off in the house no matter what...but then again, I am Canadian with a European background...

Was high school musical filmed in your school?Of course it was! I am very proud of that fact!
I don't wear it inside but with cleaning carpets and floors so easy it makes sense for others to wear it.
