... for not having much experience; Obama doesn't have that much more than her. Besides, she's not going to be a President, only. a VP. We shouldn't have a President with as little experience as Obama.

So why is she such a target for being attacked? I'll admit I wasn't so sure she was the right choice for McCain but after seeing the speech last night, I'm 99% sure McCain will beat Obama

Because Republicans constantly bash Obama for his inexperience, and then turn around in a very hypocritical fashion and praise Palin, someone with even LESS experience, to the skies.

She has more experience and she is only running for VP. Obama is running for pres and has little to no experience. There is a big difference in the level of significance there.

I am choking back a response that would certainly get me suspended, though it's funny enough to me that its almost worth it. In any event, I'm more prone to attack her for supporting teaching creationism in public schools.

The difference is, Obama proved himself with this campaign, the American people CHOSE him. Not the same thing with Palin.... Also considering how old McCain is, there is a chance she could be president...

99% sure eh? Well I'm glad that obama is leading in the polls and in the electoral map. Palin is nothing but an attempt to take away hillary supporters. She showed her immaturity by taking swipes at obama for his community planning, which helped many poor people in the south side and helped clean up that area. Palin knows nothing about that living in alaska.

It's an issue because the people elected Obama to run for president, knowing his stances and his lack of experience, Palin was just selected by McCain.

I know I do.

Ehem. Anyways. People bash her for all sorts of reasons, but the most common seem to be a) she's a Republican, b) one of McCain's main points against Obama is his lack of experience and then McCain turns around and pulls out Palin as his VP, which sends out mixed messages, and c) she supports questionable things.

Perfect. Some who knows what can and will work with the American people (McCain) can get insight from someone from a newer generation and how topics younger people care about can be handled (Palin)

Good. She should be. I am too; most abortions are because people make stupid decisions (usually teenage girls) and don't want the responsibility of being a parent when they're 17. The only time abortion should be allowed is if some poor girl gets raped and becomes pregnant. But that's it.

I had the option for my girlfriend to get an abortion and we decided not too (I was 18). Best decision we ever made.

After her speech last night they will find everything they can to bash her. Her speech was GREAT, and she is an excellent speaker and I've decided that McCain did make the right choice, she shares alot of views of McCain, and is definitely not afraid to stand up and try and do something about stuff. I am really starting to like Gov. Palin.

No your right it doesn't. But abortion is used mostly for people who just don't want kids.

If you don't want the kid, give it up for adoption when it's born. But most teenage girls don't even want that becasue they think they'll loose their figure if they give birth.

WHO CARES?

It's nice to know that the political strategy of "repeat a word until people believe it" still works.

I find it amazing that people fall for such grade school tactics.

Whether it's the word "experience" or the word "change" doesn't matter. If you are basing your vote on either of these words, then you are a sheep who needs to look at the issues instead of the rhetoric.

Win. Most people don't know what a Senator or a Govenor actually do, but they sure aren't quiet about saying which one is more important/better than the other.

No arguing with that at all. We have been and still remain the most powerful country in the world. China, India, and Russia are becoming more powerful everyday, but none will match us for quite sometime.

Well I'm glad you are happy with your decision. In freakonomics he lays out a pretty good case that abortion reduces crime, because growing up in a broken house does not help the nation. Abstance programs do not work (looks at palins daughter and the baby's fathers myspace). It should be a choice plain and simple, if your against it fine it's your choice not the states. Republican's are always saying that government should be smaller, the anti-abortion thing then does not make since. I don't want the government forcing me to have the child if I don't want it/cannot support it.

Not only powerful in terms of GDP and militarily, but China, India and Russia may have high GDP's, but their citizens are poor as ****. The USA has the highest GDP, while their citizens still maintain a high quality of life. There is no country really that close.

[QUOTE="pyromaniac223"]Because Republicans constantly bash Obama for his inexperience, and then turn around in a very hypocritical fashion and praise Palin, someone with even LESS experience, to the skies.The_Mac_Daddy

True, but like I stated before, she's going to be the Vice President; NOT the PRESIDENT OF THE FREE WORLD

Why do people say this? There are many other free nations that govern themselves. America is not the leader it once was.

Because the United States of America is the most powerful nation on this planet. It is the most powerful free nation, meaning it is the leader of the free world.

I know I know. Just having been in a foriegn nation where the actions in congress and the president doesn't matter, it rubs me the wrong way.

[QUOTE="Johnny-Quest"]Palin is nothing but an attempt to take away hillary supportersJohnny-Quest

I thought her "down-to-earth," and "we're not perfect family" would appeal to women voters as well

Plus the Hockey Mom thing too

The fact she is anti-abortion pretty much takes away the support of a lot of hildog supporters.

Then wear a condom. It's not that hard.

Or just take it out before :P

Abortions aren't just a "stay out of my business" kind of thing. In a lot of people's eyes, it's murder. If you murder someone you can't just tell the government to stay out of your business. "I don't wanna deal with this guy so I'm just gunna kill him". "I don't wanna deal with this kid so I'm just gunna kill it". People see it in the same way.

People here are against hotness?

Is that why everyone here is so mean to me? :(

It would be easier to be nicer to you if you weren't on fire all the time.

Similarly, it would be easier not to flame people if they didn't deserve it so much

The fact is that accidents happen such as a condom breaks, forgot to take bc or something along those lines. I don't want the government to decide for me. Republicans only support abstinence not bc. The old keep it in your pants line of thought. Fact is that things happen and if I can live with the choice of abortion then I should be able to have one. I don't want the government to tell me whats right and what is wrong.

... for not having much experience; Obama doesn't have that much more than her. Besides, she's not going to be a President, only. a VP. We shouldn't have a President with as little experience as Obama.

So why is she such a target for being attacked? I'll admit I wasn't so sure she was the right choice for McCain but after seeing the speech last night, I'm 99% sure McCain will beat Obama

choffy

Because they are afraid that McCain will win.

and they dont want that... so what else can they do? smelly libs
