Conspiracy? Again, what are you talking about? Democrats had total control, did nothing about the abuses in the banking and financial sector. Equal protection is the part of the constitution that the Supreme Court utilized to get gay people marriage rights. The idea is that if one group can get married, another group should not be disabled from the same privilege, as you call it.
