If you're gonna get a lame ass course for college then college is gonna be better . . . High School life is what you're gonna get if you mix independence and no responsibilities together . . .
I don't because I actually do my work in High School and not have parties every two days and then show up with nothing more than a fistful of poo for a semester's worth of work.
I probably miss High School football the most. Collegiate athletics lacks the sense of comradaerie and brotherhood you develop from the high school days. Playing with guys across the country on Saturdays and playing with guys you grew up with on friday nightunder the lightsare two totally different experiences. The parties after a big cross town win wasn't shabby either :P
But I disagree about High school being the best. It was certainly awesome, but college is turning out to be even better.
high school was horrible never been in so many fist fights in my life.....best thing i ever did was drop out sophmore year and grabbed a ged.
I used to think high school was awesome, but the last four years of university life have definitely been the best years of my life. I mean, I enjoyed high school, but tertiary education is on a whole other level of freedom - both socially and intellectually.
So I can't really imagine why people say that high school was better...other than perhaps they didn't go on to further studies?
high school was pretty good to me. i wasn't in the "popular clique" or whatever you want to call it but i had some great friends and we had some great times, in and out of school. i wouldn't say my high school years were the best years of my life, but they were pretty good.
My life got good after I was done in High School. You're not old enough to do anything you want in HS. You're still restricted by your parents and teachers. God awesome.
Age and other life experiences may be relevant...[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"][QUOTE="LORD_BLACKGULT"]
If High School was the best time of someones life, then they have a very sad life...
LORD_BLACKGULT
Ummm..... Ok? :?
Or maybe they had a great life at highschool, and you had a very sad childhood?
I used to think highschool sucks too, but then only later realised how easy life was back then.TykainSame thing here. I miss not having to "grow up" entirely.
Elementary school were the best years of my life. mrmusicman247This. I had more friends, was a lot more social with everyone, enjoyed hanging outside the school yard when school was over talking to the ladies, and never having to worry about my life being in danger all the time... My H.S. years were the most depressing years of my life. I only had 2 friends throughout those years, I had to develop this "Don't f*** with me aura" to prevent people from bothering me, witness a few stabbings, 7 out of 10 women you see walking down the hallway were pregnant or already had a baby, there were numerous plans where a certain number of students were going to lock the school doors to kill a few teachers and students (One of the attempts actually got passed step two where they lock the doors. Thankfully, the school installed security cameras that year, well concealed, so they were able to figure out what locker those students concealed the weapons and what doors they locked...), got into TOO MANY unnecessary fights (I always set at lunch tables that gang members used. So other people assumed I was affiliated with them and started bothering me. Even when I knew I was going to get my ass kicked from fighting 3 or 4 people, I didn't let anyone push me around...), didn't exactly learn a lot during those years because there were always stupid asses messing with the teacher to the point they completely stopped teaching and just hand out a terrible amount of homework, and many other things beyond those mention.... I guess the one thing I missed most before H.S. was the fact I was a lot more outgoing. Considering how much I had to change in order to live through H.S., I lost that one trait and been trying to find it ever since....

Ya I agree, I just don't understand why people liked highschool. I guess only the popular kids who had everything liked it.
Wished I knew about G.E.D at that point. I decided to drop out after my 5th year of H.S. and get my GED since I'd be going 6 if I decided to stay...high school was horrible never been in so many fist fights in my life.....best thing i ever did was drop out sophmore year and grabbed a ged.

I disliked high school. There were some good things, but one of the reasons I didn't like it is that I switched classes multiple times, so I didn't really have time to form longlasting friendships.
I very much prefer my university years (and sadly I'm probably in my last year), as I'm actually studying something I care about, I have more freedom to go where I want, and it's been much more pleasant on a social level.
[QUOTE="gameboy343"][QUOTE="Tykain"]how easy life was back then.rawsavon
this alone is why it was great.
easy = great??? it's easy now anyway just spend money until problem goes awayindeed! However as adults we do tend to forget all the drama that comes with being in high school when we make this claim.Because it should be. You're old enough to do almost anything you want, you're socially independent, and you have no responsibility. It's the perfect combination for awesome.

Yes, this is it.
Some people don't go to college and miss the best years of their lives, though. Poor bastards.

vote early...vote often...vote raw i prefer to have a refined vote, raw votes tend to be dirty and somewhat stickyNo massive debt (college or otherwise), no responsibility, loads of free time, you get to see your friends everyday, jobs are optional...
What's so bad about it? College is more fun in my opinion, but my parents are covering pretty much all of my expenses so I don't have to work or worry about debt until I go onto grad school. However, I have a ton of more responsibility and generally more stress than I did in high school. My friends who didn't go to college have to work crappy jobs and live in pretty trashy apartments. They don't have a whole lot going for them and they have little upside. They didn't have to worry about anything like that in high school.
