okay...explain to me how they know 100% that there tests to determine the age of things is flawless.

Of course it isn't 100% or flawless but it is miles closer to 100% flawlessness than the YEC's theory. Therefore I will believe the current scientific findings until something more credible comes along. Which is highly unlikely.

explain to me how non-life can develop into life and into human emotion.

sometime around 3 billion years ago, the earth was this organic soup. over billions of years, the carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water in earths atmosphere and oceans combined with electricity to form amino acids. these amino acids eventually formed self-replicating polymers. these self-replicating polymers became bigger and more complex as time went on. eventually, the first lifeforms appeared. then evolution took its course

for every fact, there is a psycho believing a lie, thats just the nature of humanity. conspiracy theorists and religious nuts surround us, you can't reason with that so just ignore them because people who think we never landed on the moon ARN't working for nasa, and people who think the earth is 6000 years old ARN'T teaching science in any (respected) university.

WOAH! ok first of all, no duh the Bible doesnt just plain say that the earth (and universe) is only 6000 years old. Why? Because that would make the Bible dated, elimating its purpose Two. A person can still be a Christian and not believe every word of the Bible. The Bible has many, many teachings, but if you want to take it as historical fact it contains a lot of contradictions and problems. To come here and say that believing in evolution and that the world is billions of years old is ignorance or blasphemy is extremely ignorant and offensive. The Bible is about faith and moral teachings, i will never believe it is meant to be a historical document.

Faith is far more satisfying than a lack of reason and purpose of life. Have fun reading your scientific studies. Just ask yourself why would a characteristic such as emotion be evolved if it had no higher purpose?

Even if evolution explains the beginning of re-producing lifeforms there is still the origin of the universe to be explained... so plenty of room for God.

well I could go through every emotion, most are fairly easy. fearing scary things with fangs makes people avoid threatening preditors. feeling lust will make you more likely to reproduce, feeling happy will encourage you to do what made you happy etc etc as i said many are very easy.

there are some confuding ones like that feeling of connecting with god, or any higher force. well the thing is humans became so smart so fast that we couldnt even handle our own mind, so we were able to feel depressed alot more rather than just simply being happy. we question greater things than a dog for example.

Soo, people who can feel that connection with a higher force (meditating praying) not only were less worried about bigger questions, but that positive emotion (as studied in meditation) acually changes how people think into a more positive way, makes the mind more likely to think happy thoughts.

thats just one i'd think you'd be interested in. if there are ther ones you want to know about just ask

No, the Bible does not state that the Earth is 6000 years old.

Of course I believe the Bible.

Def_Jef88

So how old do you think the Earth is?

~4 Billion years.

That is funny. (No offence)

None taken.

But I must ask: Why do you think it's funny?

I think the earth would be a terribly run down place or not even here if it were that old. Stop and think about how long 4 billion years really is.

without humans Earth would be ok until the Sun expired.

We pollute the planet thus reducing how much longer it has to live

in the long run (hundreds of millions of years) humans will have absolutely no effect on this planet whatsoever

WOAH!

ok first of all, no duh the Bible doesnt just plain say that the earth (and universe) is only 6000 years old. Why? Because that would make the Bible dated, elimating its purpose.

People are entitled to interpret the bible as they wish.

Two. If anyone actually DID read their Bible they would know that i tcontains the complete family line from Adam all the way to Jesus which (what scholars have calculated) is about 4000 years. We all know Jesus lived 2000 years ago. Do the math. To call yourself a Christian and believe the earth is millions or billions of years old is either ignorance or straight blasphemy(a sin). And it is because of this ignorance or "need to fit in with the evolutionists" that Christianity has earned such a terrible name. Why is it sohard for REAL Christians to defend their faith? Because they dont kno how, because 1. religion is not taught in almost all public schools 2. They don't read their Bible because we live in a world that is slowly despising us more and more which makes learning apologetics very difficult

People are entitled to interpret the bible as they wish.

Wrong,thatislikesayinganyonecanreadtheconstitutionandcomeupwiththeirownideaofit.

To a point. The Book of Revelation is different though. If anyone has read it they will agree.
