the government is trying to take away more and more rights. But the attitude is still there. Thats what really counts.

The thing is, although its going away we still have more individual rights than other countries.

Most other countries see freedom FROM

we see freedom of. We still have the right to have our own business the way we choose it. Most of europe has no real choice in that realm.

Unfortunately, that is deteriorating in the us as well. Mostly through bs anti-piracy laws, patents,corporate welfare and abuse of copyrights

We pretty much covered all the terrible things America has done, such as killing Native Americans, the Japanese internment camps, all the Chinese racism during the wild west days, the whole "manifest destiny" bull ****, we even had some debates about current and old U.S. actions. Also in American government we spent plenty of time talking about the flaws in our government.

But what is the point? Its all opinion anyway, why does everything have to be a competition, why cant you just live and say that you love your country? There is no need and no point to saying my country is better than your country. That is just childlike and immature, are you really so insecure that you need to validate your own existance and life where you live by saying your country is the best in the world? If so then that is both pathetic and arrogant.
