except they don't. they ask twitter everything. that's it.CNN is far from center/right. They border on left to just touching left of center. An example is firearms, CNN is all for restricting them to all but a few. How is this any where near right?
1KyardStare
They don't research things properly. They're biased and they just make stuff up a lot of the time. They know people are gullible and they play on it. Its sickening. biggest_loserYeah no kidding. They're so baised it makes me sick.
Well because not too long ago liberals looked foolish with a lot of the things they used to present in the media about the Bush administration. Now that they don't have much to complain about the conservatives are doing the same that liberals were doing. At the end of the day when the democrats all get fished out of the house and the republicans take over it will the same thing. Its a endless cycle really.
Because its blatantly biased towards the conservative side and then they try to pass it off as credible, unbiased news which is utter bullcrap. Plus add in the facts that they barely research their topics before going 'LOL IT IS BAD/UNAMERICAN/LIBERAL!!1111'
So if CNN is biased, does that mean Fox is not biased?
DraugenCP
It means that by being biased in the opposing direction to CNN (& MSNBC), Fox provides balance against CNN and gives conservatives a news channel that appeals to their viewpoints.
Why should the left be the only side with its own news channel?
Besides, Fox has the absolute 1st Amendment right to be as politically biased as it wishes to be. If you don't like it, then turn the channel.
For years before Fox News hit the scene, conservatives complained that they had no media outlet that told the news from their perspective, yet they did not condemn the left-leaning media with the vitriol that the leftists today condemn Fox News. Now that the right has a news outlet to call home, the left becomes furiously indignant.
Fox is merely doing what CNN, ABC, & NBC have been doing for decades. To cry foul now, of all times, is ridiculous.
[QUOTE="biggest_loser"]They don't research things properly. They're biased and they just make stuff up a lot of the time. They know people are gullible and they play on it. Its sickening. xscrapzxYeah like they are the only media outlet that does this.
Yeah, anyone remember the forged Bush memos that Dan Rather presented on 60 minutes? (sorry gamespot, I know that you're associated with CBS, but I couldn't help but point out the Dan Rather memo scandal).
It really boggles me how anyone can say CNN is biased. They're easily the most balanced of the big three and they usually actually report the news instead of having 24/7 commentators. I couldn't tell you what Larry King or Anderson Coopers political affiliations are. Because they don't let their words drip with bias. More than I can say for MSNBC or Fox.
If you want the news you watch CNN
If you're conservative and want reinforcement of your beliefs you watch Fox
If you're liberal and want reinforcement of your beliefs, you watch MSNBC.
yeah, illegal wiretapping and bombing Afghani weddings sure are foolish and completely untrue charges.Well because not too long ago liberals looked foolish with a lot of the things they used to present in the media about the Bush administration. yeah, because conducting surveillance of foreign nationals within the US is, "illegal". Come on, the only people being wiretapped were (and are, btw...Obama has not reversed this policy) foreign nationals placing international phone calls.
An international phone call shouldn't have an expectation of privacy, anyways. Place a phone call to China, Colombia, or Pakistan and I guarantee you that your converstion is either being listened to by intelligence agents of that country or is at least being recorded by that country's intelligence service for future reference. How can you claim to have an expectation to privacy in a telephone conversation that is already being wiretapped by a foreign government?
Most people here fall to the Left.
And as for the ME game interview, it wasn't Fox's fault. It was that yabbling idiot faux therapist who decided to talk out of her ass about a game she clearly knows absolutely nothing about.
I don't think so. I, for example, like to watch the "other side". I like to know what the enemy is thinking. I will also read their books (how I first saw that Anne chick, or whatever her name is). I don't have a problem with them having a different view. I do have a problem with them being hateful, and damn near racist. I think Fox news employs some nut jobs, basically. That, and like folks said, them claiming to be "balanced" is downright insulting.Because it doesn't agree with liberals i suppose..people diss things they don't agree with as far as i have observed..

So you consider wiretapping international phonecalls...calls which are already wiretapped by the foreign government on the other end...to be illegal?
Ok, for arguments sake, lets say that it is. So the US government merely has to request a copy of the telephone conversation from the foreign government that recorded it. That wouldn't be illegal, but still accomplish the same ends.
So why bother? Just let the US government record the telephone conversation and save evryone else a lot of time and money.
International phone calls should not be given the same level of privacy as domestic phone calls, because the information they contain can possibly be pertinent to the security of the nation. Even without intent, an international caller could give away damaging information regarding national security; information such as troop deployments, training schedules, force strength, etc.

Hmmm...maybe it's just me, but MSNBC seems a little biased on race and ethnicity.
It just seems to talk about black, Latino, and mixed-race issues most of the time. The only times I've ever seen that mentioning whites is when some white person did something bad. That Walmart incident is still in there, and it mentions something about white supremacists on primetime.
While I can understand what those (white) people did was wrong, this website just seems to "complain" about white people, and seems to mention only bad things some white people did. If there was some major hate crimes/incidents that negatively affected whites, I can almost guarantee you that this MSNBC thing wouldn't mention jack **** about it.
I hate this biased crap.

Glenn beck has basically single handedly provoked people to attack liberals and try to overthrow the government. I'm surprised he hasn't been visited by the FBI.

Attack verbally?..That's nothing new for the media...conservative or otherwise...and i think you are exaggerating a bit in regards to overthrowing the government...Beck may exaggerate his point of view to get what he is trying to say across, but again...people exaggerate things all the time when trying to prove a point..
so you're saying...the ends justify the means.Hewkii
I'm saying that the same ends will happen regardless of the means. Why claim privacy in an international phone call that is already wiretapped by the foreign government at the other end? When you make an international phone call, it isn't private to begin with, anyways. There really isn't an expectation of privacy with an international phone call, since it crosses international jurisdictions. The US is going to be able to listen in on an international phone conversation, anyways, be it by asking a foreign government to do so on its behalf or by doing so itself. Besides, why should foreign nationals have an expectation of privacy in regards to their foreign communications?
They seem to set the tone for unabashedly biased view. Which is not to say other channels don't have their own versions, but Fox News shines in this category pretty heartily!

No, I'm not exaggerating. The man is clearly unbalanced, to me, and his passionate "GOVERNMENT AND LIBERALS ARE INHUMAN MONSTERS!" speeches can spur the less intelligent of our country to take to violence in the name of Beck.

Because they are idiots, they tell plan out lies without researching anything thing (see Mass Effect).
Something I've noticed, they are saying Democrats will bring Communism and Nazism to America... do they even realize that Communism and Facism are pretty much the EXACT FREAKING OPPOSITE?!?!?! Again, that just shows something about their target opposite. "Hey, Nazis are bad, we fought them in WWII! Hey, Commies are bad, we faced them in the Cold War... WAIT!!!! If they are both bad, they MUST BE THE SAME THING!!!!"
Barbariser
When you look at these numbers, by some experts these Chinese and Soviet Union numbers are low, Communism seems kind of evil and worthy of keeping off of our shores.
65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union
2 million in Cambodia
2 million in North Korea
1.7 million in Africa
1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
1 million in Vietnam
150,000 in Latin America
10,000 deaths "resulting from actions of the international communist movement and communist parties not in power
These numbers were as of 1997 and do not reflect estimates as of 2010.
How is this relevant to the point he made - that the Republican party's accusation of the Democrats attempting to "bring both Communism and Nazism to America" is insensible due to the very fact that both idealogies are on the opposite ends of the political spectrum, and that one is on the extreme right?
I thought nearly 95 million people dead due to one ideaology was point enough. I'm not concerned over their differences in right or left. I would rather neither gain any real strength here, but when social programs funded by the Federal government continue to grow I have to ask when exactly will we become less apathetic and limit government. Otherwise we risk this observation:
The Cycle of Nations:
"From bondage to spiritual faith.
From spiritual faith to great courage.
From courage to liberty.
From liberty to abundance.
From abundance to selfishness.
From selfishness to complacency.
From complacency to apathy.
From apathy to dependency.
From dependency back again into bondage."
--Sir Alex Fraser Tyler, A Scottish jurist and historian
Bondage, in our case, being communism.

Do you really believe you can find news without bias? In my opinion CNN is left. I posted a link to one of their reports on firearms earlier. Watch it. How do you not see their bias? She never says ban guns but she doesgives all kinds of misinformation which is misleading to the truth about fireamrs and their effect. And that is just one story. Watch their melodramatic retelling of global warming, CNN's Planet in Peril? Conservation is great, but global atmospheric change? Do you really think that when one volcano produces more green house gasses in one day than we do in a year that we actually can have such dramatic results on our environment? We are devastating the natural world but conservation practices help this; the fact is our planet has been hotter and colder in the past that it is today and the sun has more effect onour planetthan we do, we just don't help out.
That is not Fox or CNN, that is the truth.
Because they never mention anything about Fox animals. I sit down and wait for hours just to see a fox pop up on my TV.

Yes, I do believe we can have dramatic results on our enviroment. Alot of scientists do. I don't understand why conservatives are against conservation and protecting the enviroment. Unless it's for, surprise surprise, monetary reasons.
If CNN isn't outright saying "Ban guns" then that alone makes it less bias than Fox or Msnbc. Because a fox commentator will come right out and say "Liberalism is evil" and an MSNBC commentator will come out and say "Conservatives are heartless monsters". I have never seen Anderson cooper or Larry King do anything blatantly left or right. That doesn't make the channel 100% center but it makes it the most unbiased of the three.

You've heard about psychology right? If you misinform enough people will believe your misinformation; CNN's staff spewing the same misinformation while reacting to such claims as firearms being available to all law abiding citizens as if Chicago just went up in flames again is reactionary and biased.
I never said I didn't support conservation, but that is not what Gore and CNN preach. They support outsourcing our carbon outputs to other countries via carbon trading. How is this conservation? If you want to talk conspiracy I find it odd that Gore's massive push towards "green energy" will now make him richer than he already was.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/energy/6491195/Al-Gore-could-become-worlds-first-carbon-billionaire.html
When he donates to the planet by more than taking from it's inhabitants then I believe his rhetoric.
So we're now going that all scientists in the world are secretly trying to support Al Gores agenda to get richer and outsource carbon outputs, and that CNN is trying to secretly turn people into gun hating wusses via subliminal coercsion? I'm not really one for way out there conspiracies.
Even if all that was true....CNN is STILL less biased than fox and MSNBC.

So if they are so unbiased why are you when it comes to conservatives making money off of green energy but when Al Gore does, it's ok?
If you go back and read some of my posts on Fox and their bias, Isimply said it is based on your beliefs. I feel that most of the "Live News Organizations" (CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC) are left leaning and Fox is right. If you sit on the left side of things, then yes CNN is more centered. Here is a quiz I found online, though the site is libertarian the question are fairly representative of political beliefs. See what you think and where you sit:

They arn't 100% unbiased, they are far less biased than MSNBC or Fox. You have not refuted that.
Also I have no problem with someone making money off of green energy. I have a problem with conservatives blocking any push toward green energy or regulations toward pollution because "It'll hurt the free market!" "It'll hurt our stocks!" "It'll raise taxes!" "SOOOOCIALLLIIISM!"

http://www.nolanchart.com/index.php Here is the main site, there is a link on the top that says "Take our Survey".
CNN doesn't care so much for the right and our beliefs. When it comes to anything right, no matter how close to center or to the extreme, it is portrayed as obscure right histeria. On the other handwhen PETA releases test animals sole bread for testing or E.L.F. burns a million dollar ski resort to the ground they are never portrayed as Leftist nut jobs.
You claim CNN to be centered. Find their objective view of Democrats that's not sprinkled with sunshine or with a negative comment on Republicans intertwined in the story. Fox is far from innocent of blame when it comes to liberals, I don't deny that, but they are the only conservative "News Production" on the air.
Democrats are just as obtrusive to the Green Process as Republicans, why doesn'ta federal government with Democratic majority support biodiesel production like it used to? Why does the federal government still give petroleum producers massive handouts? Why does Congress accept large contributions from large pharmacetical companies?
After asking yourself those questions ask, why not let the free market work free from Congress's intervention? Let the consumer decide what we want to purchase. I would purchase green products.
Because the free market does not work and relying on people, beings who by their nature are selfish and could care less about the damage they do, to do the right thing, is a terrible idea. Lack of regulations is a horrible idea. I don't want to live in a place where I can't breathe without a resperator because of pollution because "The free market commands it!". I don't want to risk eating hotdogs that have been prepared from dead rats because it's cheaper that way and no regulations allows it.
And the democrats don't do much because all politicians are corrupt. I'd say democrats are atleast less blunt about it.
As for CNN, as I stated before
If you want news that isn't loaded with bias you watch CNN
If you want news that reinforces conservative beliefs and offers no challenge to them you watch Fox
If you want news that reinforces liberal beliefs and offers no challenge to them you watch MSNBC.
Again, CNN has some bias but you really just cannot argue that it is ANYWHERE near the level of fox or MSNBC. Neither fox or MSNBC hide the fact they are incredibly bias. Well...fox does like to lie about it. But it's the sort of lying no one cares about because it's clear as day.
