One conversation with one is enough to show you why.

Ultimately, emos use this "hate" as another excuse to complain about something. They tend to belly ache over everything, and then wonder why people resent them for it. After a few moments of pondering over that, they proceed to complain about people not liking complainers.

Anyway it is because they look pathetic and stand around feeling sorry for themselves. I don't see too many in my area, so I'm not bothered.

Im just me ! If I like some clothing, i'll buy it. If I like some music, i'll listen to it. Not because everyone else does, it is a pathetic excuse for a life & I wonder when they will grow up. Fair enough me saying that, I have green & pink hair & my share of makeup but I dont do it because I saw some stupid girl in some screamo band do it. I think a lot of people hate them because they are better looking then them, and because they are better looking and dressed somewhat funny, it gives them something to aim for in looking for an excuse to hate them. They probably wouldn't care if their girlfriend was one, they probably wouldn't say no either, but since they not got one andthey have no chance of ever getting one, hate is their only respite.

That's pretty much it I think. But yeah, some of them are a little stupid, and if they mess up the look instead of pulling it off it's face palming. My girlfriend is one to the absolute extreme, except she doesn't back comb her hair quite so much. She got into all that a few years ago, when she got obsessed with a certain band and started dressing like a missing member of the group. Some of it was also my influence, although i'm not a heavy scene/emo look myself, I wear the odd stud here and chain there, she copied and then taken it way further! I've actually toned down a lot over the years, but she's just more and more. I'll see if I can get a picture of her up on my profile, might stick on of myself there also.

I more judge a person by their attitude and personality than the clothes they wear.

Everyone says they move with the scene and so on hence the name, but to be honest, Ive noticed them for years it seems and they really havent changed all that much, atleast not style wise.. I think its time to start classifying it as a solid group like Emo, Goth, Metalhead and so on and no longer just that one group that does whats "In" though I'm sure there are people who move from "cool thing" to "cool thing" on a whim.

I think a lot of people hate them because they are better looking then them.

I don't personally hate on them. I find it odd that they (male scene kids) get more girls than the rest of us. Considering they look like butch lesbians (still talking about the males), the scene girls may as well go gay.

HAR HAR HAR, i dont get jealous of other guys. While i am cool with a few "scene" kids i always ride on them for wearing girl pants and makeup. Thats why scene kids suck, girls not so much as guys.
