Go read a junior high school level biology textbook.

What makes you think that's right? Have you done critical analysis on it yourself? Or are you just going to go with an appeal to authority like you usually do? "He has a Masters in Biology, he must be right!!!"

The Catholic Church even accepts evolution as the most likely reason why we are the way we are. What more do you need?

Note: They do say it all follows God's plan. Who's to say they are wrong with that one?

Hubadubalubahu

I don't really care about the Catholic Church. I have yet to find something to convince me otherwise.

Umm how about your own book? All men are created equal =/= All men are genetically and physically the same. Bring your argument to your pastor and see what he thinks of your interpretation of the bible.

Calm down lol, That was a typo, stop holding it against me. I don't have a pastor by the way. I don't regularly attend church. Nice assumption, though.

It tends to suggest that he knows more than someone who doesn't... do you have a better method of measuring someone's empirical knowledge on a subject?

I think the word scientist should be abolished. It's too vague.

Anyway, why don't you just read up on it?

I didn't say that, but you tried to make it seem like I did. What I said was that it tends to tilt the scale in his favor. And you didn't offer me any better method of measurement.

You can observe 2+2=4 yourself with a very simple experiment. Evolution?...yeah..not so much.

You are twisting around and trying to spin this argument your way SO HARD, but I'm not going to let you off the hook that easy. What is a better tool for measurement? Or better yet, how about some evidence that racism is inherent in evolution? You are obviously either (1) so thick-headed that you can't even fathom the thought of you being wrong, or (2) a troll. Either way, you are failing hardcore.

There is no such thing as macro evolution. evolution is evolution. Image that you put a penny in a piggy bank for every day. Now it seems to be small after a week. But when apply like 10,000 years You get a big number. That evolution in a nutshell.

Yes you can, and even if you couldn't the fact would remain that evolution is a mathematical inevitability and therefore can be known to occur pretty much a priori, as long as you have inheritance, an environment and mutation.

[QUOTE="kingkong0124"][QUOTE="alexside1"] No it isn't. Do I have to be P.H.D mathematician in order to understand 2+2=4.Franklinstein

Racism suggests that behavior and intellect of one species will be over another. Racism right there. I'm just going to ignore your petty comments at the end, there.

The Catholic Church even accepts evolution as the most likely reason why we are the way we are. What more do you need?

Note: They do say it all follows God's plan. Who's to say they are wrong with that one?

It doesn't really fit with the modern conception of evolution, does it? It's evolution by natural selection, not evolution by god fiddling with DNA in such a way that it looks an awful lot like natural selection

I'd still rather have them accept the basic premise of evolution than to pursue the belief that man was shaped from clay. lol.

Sure, I agree it's better than creationism any day

Clay contains lots of carbon, the building block of life. Obviously just another of the many coincidences in the Biblical texts!

Macro evolution in animals? No, no.

Obviously I'm more evolved than you are. Maybe you should be put into a zoo.

Stop perpetuating misconceptions about evolution.

Evolving doesn't necessarily mean a higher level of complexity or intelligence. It's merely a development of traits in relation to the environment. King Kong probably lives in the bible belt, an environment that doesn't need facts and has adapted accordingly.

Something tells me this thread will go into one of you calling each other a monkey, and it may not be because you are talking about monkeys.

Yes you can, and even if you couldn't the fact would remain that evolution is a mathematical inevitability and therefore can be known to occur pretty much a priori, as long as you have inheritance, an environment and mutation.

The best way to observe evolution, or at least genetic variability, is to observe strains of bacteria in labs. Since they replicate so fast, you can basically set the conditions for it. Antibiotic resistance, etc.

Let's look at it as this way.

Viruses evolve but they're still the same virus, the only thing different is their structure.

Both of them are HUGE Donkey Kong fans, so that scenario is not unlikely.
