I believe it does touch on equality actually.

Ignoring the blatent slavery it does seem to allude to the fact that no matter the socioeconomic status all men are judged equally. There is also:

Everyone is free to interpret as they will, but I do think there are lessons of equality to be found amidst the misogynistic, homophobic, and racist text.

First of all, evolution describes the differentiation among the various species, it is presumptuous to use it to define racial characteristics. In fact race is a social construct in which we label a common ancestry (which has genetic, social, and geographic components). Thus, as a social construct race is highly subjective and not actually a scientific notion. Therefore it falls outside of the full scope of pure evolutionary study. Although selection has played a role in determining certain characteristics in our ancestors (such as pigmentation and nose shape/size), as humans developed greater technology and began becoming a more global society, these natural selective influences faded. There may be certain individual characteristics that are more fit in a specific environment (less pigmentation in colder, less sunny regions for instance), but no one group shares a "superior" set of genetic traits as a whole.

Don't confuse pseudoscience from the 1950s and earlier with modern genetics and biology.

Many people don't understand evolution, we human beings do NOT do social darwinism, it's bad for our species to do so. Evolution doesn't mean that some human beings are less than others, we humans evolved to be equal, there are no better group of humans. Natural selection already occured for us, we're done, social darwinism is just wrong and isn't part of Evolution Theory. It's just a racist idea believed by well....racists. That isn't Evolution it'self.

Using this as to not believe in Evolution is flawed, Evolution has nothing to do with social darwinism or nazi like race ideas. IMO I believe God used Evolution to create us, and he used it to create us equally. Like I said there are no better group of human beings, we're all the same.
