Don't know where else to put this. So I've come to notice out of like a dozen forums I am a member of Gamespot is by far the most restricted. I've been a member of d2jsp.org since 2003; a Diablo forum and I've not got a single warning in 45,000 posts over a timespan of 7 years. But here, I get warnings every single week. AT D2jsp, I have the FREEDOM to swear all I want. I can be a hard troll all day long, I can insult any one I want I can even be a total psychopath behind the keyboaard to any user (except a moderator) And I don't get warned, because WELCOME TO THE REAL INTERWEBS PEOPLE. You don't have to be polite this isn't primary school. But here at Restrictspot, I guess if I said human genitals I would get a ban...
So am I bad person for being warned at Gamespot? No, not at all.
I've been warned for the most stupid reasons imaginable:
- Calling a console gamer with double standards a hypocrite. (Trolling)
- Saying PC gaming is cheaper than console gaming (Trolling)
- Saying that if you need a $3000 PC to be a PC gamer you need $3000 HDTV to be a console gamer (Trolling + suspsended for that comment Oh My I was such a mayham maker!!!!)
- Saying Cool story bro (Trolling, SERIOUSLY GAMEPSOT?)
- Making a joke about Halo, saying next game will be Halo Kart (Trolling)
- Telling some one his sarcasm detector failed (Flaming. REALLY GAMESPOT? YOU CALL THAT FLAMING?)
And so on.
So might I ask, why is gamespot so gosh darn sensitive? And why is everyone else he so sensitive? Are my arguements so strong that the only way to reply to me is report me?
Every time I participate in an argument in civil manner some one has to go and report my post as inapproriate for disagreeing with them and I get warned. Why?
inb4: sensitive people report this...
Am I flaming now btw? Cos it seems according to gamespot I am being a big bully right now!
