Why do you people even care does it even matter what color he was.Flow4U
Because, a man named Jesus lived, and it would be incorrect to claim that he wasn't a Middle-Eastern man. It's history, and it's important to remember.

Thats very debatable, its possible that Jesus never lived. Possibly never existed.
Well why would the ruling powers at the time give Him any kind of credibility by allowing documented evidence of His life and death to exist? The reason He was crucified was because He was seen as a threatto their hold on power. And consider that after His death followers of Christianity were persecuted heavily, so nobody except His 12 disciples would have dared to continue preaching His message, much less actually write it down.As far as my research has led me to believe, there isn't one document that is not related tobiblical stories that suggest a man who was born of a virgin roaming about with 12 followers etc. There are plenty of historians(Plutarch - Livy - Lucanas - Theon of Smyrna etc) that lived around the Mediterranean either during or soon after the assumed life of Jesus Christ. How many of these ancients historians document this figure? Not one!!
You'd figure that a guy who rose from the dead and ascended into heaven after performing all types of miracles acclaimed to him would've made it into the historical record. He didn't because once the biblical evidence has been waived, there are very high odds that the figure known as Jesus, did not even exist.

Granted.
Although, I firmly believe he did.

Or, creating such a belief would strengthen their power, and help them control the masses toobey their laws and conform totheir beliefs.
nobody knows what Jesus actually looked like....the White image of him came from Europe (Rome)around the 1400's a time when they started making religious paintings....
Pope Alexanderat the time had the image of jesus made after his son Cesar Borgia (google him)....and thats where the white image came from...

orly ?
You're all wrong. He was Mexican. And it's not "Gee-zuz", it's "Hey-zoos." :|JustPlainLucas
im not sure about MEXICAN but i have some evidence of him being from around that area:
THREE CHARACTERISTICS THAT SUGGEST JESUS WAS PUERTO RICAN:
1. His first name was Jesus.
2. He was bilingual.
3. He was always being harassed by the authorities.
well he was jewish and most jewish people back then were white.Putzwapputzen
Once again look at where Israel is located
What a funny question!
First, why are you asking?
such a question can make a lot of troubles even if you didn't meant to. Now, no one can tell you the truth about Jesus, no one can. the wise thing is to do by what he was telling humnas to do, making Black= White, and making the peace all over the world...
Human eat, Humans live, Human die!

Right by Egypt. And remember Jesus could blend with the Egyptians and the Romans. He would have had olive skin and short dark curly hair just like an italian or a middle eastern person. basically he would look like Saddam Hussein.
THREE CHARACTERISTICS SUGGEST THAT JESUS WAS BLACK:
1. He called everybody "brother."
2. He liked Gospel.
3. He couldn't get a fair trial.kirk4ever
i lol'd that was so funny

for your information, it is called Palestine
ive heard that in the bible that it says jesus had olive skin and his hair was like sheeps wool those are not the characteristics of a european white person as we see jesus in pictures of having dark blonde hair and blue eyes.
imo jesus was not white nor black but it should not matter anyway

Who are you talking to?
I am a Christian, and I strongly believe that Jesus was Arab-looking, as it would only be logical, seeing as he IS from Israel. I think he was made to look white by early church fathers, who, in an attempt to make Christianity more popular amongst fairer-skinned people, in particular in the Western Roman Empire.ineedanapI know right. He wouldn't be white because he wasn'teuropian and he's not black either because he's not from Africa
Why is Jesus portrayed as a Raptor holding an automitic pistol?
Why is Jesus portrayed as cheese?

[QUOTE="Ilived"]How many black jews have YOU seen? That's right...so shutup.[
Look up "The African Hebrew Isrealites of Jerusalem"
JackMcSexbeard
Ever heard of Jews fleeing to Ethiopia during the first sacking of Jerusalem? Chances are, they might have intermarried with the local folks in Ethiopia and brought their children up as Jews, and by the time they came back, there are chances that Mary is 1/8 African.
Jesus is Jewish...o_sausage
Being Jewish doesn't mean anything in terms of skin colour. You can be Asian or Black, and you can still be Jews. If any of your grandparent practiced Judaism, then you are ethically a Jew.
