Cheap prices, addicting food, marketing, etc. I think it could be worse, Burber King could be #1. :groce:

Everyone keeps saying their fries, but damn if they aren't a mixed bag. Sometimes they really are as good as they say, and sometimes they're sad lifeless noodles. Thanks but no thanks, I'll take Smashburger sweet potato fries over those any day of the week.

[QUOTE="SNIPER4321"]Mcdonald suck as much as any popular mainstream things. like COD and Final Fantasy in gaming and Titanic and Avatar in Movies. i prefer small local shops food. they are cheap and better quality than Mcdonald.

How many local shops have kids meals that comes with toys?

French Fries from Mcdonald's, Burger King and Wendy's fell off because government forced them to changed the oil years ago.

I have not eaten at a fast food burger place in almost 10 years, but I recall all of them being awful. I doubt they have improved significantly.

Cheap, everywhere, and relatively consistent.

The last two are the most important - virtually wherever you are in the country, you know you can go to a McDonald's and anticipate, with reasonable accuracy, what kind of food you'll get.

I'm pretty adventurous with food and I tend to seek out what I haven't tried before - thus, this reasoning never made much sense to me on a personal level. However, it's pretty well accepted in the industry that this is the most significant pillar of McD's success (and I can say that I personally know boat loads of people who fear trying new food places to the point that they actively avoid them).

Oh, sure. You win some, you lose some, you know? But probably every great meal I've had out has been at a non-chain restaurant, and if I wasn't adventurous I would have never had them.

It's akin to the beer scene - if I'd stuck to the common domestics, I would have never had the awesome craft beers from the breweries.

$1 Double Cheeseburger, $1 small fries, and $1 small coke...for $3 you feast.

Plus their double cheeseburgers rock. I couldn't eat them everyday, but once in awhile they are great.

I worked there from about August to December last year.
