It would be great for the economy, it would create revenue & jobs. It would keep more people out of jail.
It would also keep the hookers off the street, away from crime or violence, couldnt be taken advantage of, or thrown around by a PIMP. The sex would be safe & hookers would be tested on a constant basis
If it were legal it would be nothing but positve ( All Pros, No Cons ).There is no legitimate reason for it to be illegal. They have the Bunny Ranch in Vegas as an example of how to run this service.
They allow people to create Pornos but no actual prostitution? As i said before it should be legal & it would be great for the economy.
has sex with a hooker gets aids m-m-m-m-man slaughter!

Sex with anyone could get you aids...
Kids might be affected badly by it. We would see like,I dunno,5 years old prostitutes?FMAB_GTO
well I doubt a 5 year old would be able to get a job at a brothel:P
Cause they all have fake boobs which makes it unnatural and hazardous to health so it is illegal. I mean, what is their fakies are so big they smothers you to death?!

How about getting the jobs back that the US let slip away? Jobs with potential. Stop picking some crap job and saying it would be good for the economy. More fast food restaurants would create jobs....not good jobs....and they certainly wouldn't be good for society....but hey....that's not a concern apparently to you.
It's legal were im from. They take poor girls from eastern-europe and africa and trafic them up here and prostitute them. It's **** disgusting. Thats why.

In fact in Denmark trafficking is relatively uncommon. It's legal were im from. They take poor girls from eastern-europe and africa and trafic them up here and prostitute them. It's **** disgusting. It is in the UK too but the regulations around it mean a lot of it is still illegal.Move to Germany where it actually is

Its legal in Nevada, everywhere OUTSIDE of Las Vegas.. It is in fact illegal within Las Vegas city limits. It is legal in certain areas. I believe it is in Las Vegas. Not entirely sure on that.

Exactly! Where's the consistency if all I have to do is throw a camera in the mix for my act of intercourse-for-pay to be legal? It would be great for the economy, it would create revenue & jobs. It would keep more people out of jail.

Yes, prostitution should be legal. The only people who want prostitution legalized are psychotic feminists, Bible thumpers, or people who just aren't thinking straight. The prostitute is among the oldest professions in all of history (the others being farmer and soldier). It's something that's been going on for all of human civilization. Trying to stop it is futile.
Religion will continue to oppress anything it can. Maybe in 50 or so years, when the leaders of countries are born from generations raised on the teachings of scientific fact, and logical reasoning, as opposed to religious belief and wishful thinking. Maybe then leaders will be intelligent, and moral enough to understand that there's no need to deny rights to a person simply for their sexuality.Yes, prostitution should be legal. Leaders of democratic countries tend to support whatever their funders support. It has nothing to do with science. The study of logic has been around for millennia, so I don't know what another 50 years has to do with that. And I really have no idea what scientific understanding has to do with morality.

Religions are always the last to convert from their old way of thinking, to an intelligent position supported by science. The states that strongly oppose gay marriage, are also the most religious, coincidence? Years ago religion wasn't only more popular, it was viewed as literal fact. To some, the story of Adam and Eve was/is how they believe things were created. States with high concentrations of religious folk score lower on standardized tests, and less of them make it into accredited colleges. Point being that the newer generations are being taught observed facts, as opposed to wishful thinking and fantasies. These generations will be more ingrained in reality, and an understanding that we're all equal. Resulting in equal rights, as opposed to the Religious method.Religions are always the last to convert from their old way of thinking, to an intelligent position supported by science. Et cetera.

Even if any of this follows, why are you quoting me and telling me it? Are you under the impression that OT needs more religious arguments?
EDIT: Or more gay marriage threads. What the f*ck does prostitution have to do with gays getting married?

Do i really have to list off a thing Religion opposes? Hint: Religious folks are the reason for prostitution being illegal.Do i really have to list off a thing Religion opposes? Hint: Religious folks are the reason for prostitution being illegal.Nibroc420
Since you are unable to answer my question, I will: This thread, which has an actual issue being conversed, does not need to be turned into another b!tch-about-religion thread. There are plenty of those already. "Religious folks" are not the only ones who don't like prostitution.

"Religious folks" are the only ones pretending to have a legitimate reasons for opposing it. In the future, when people are more educated, perhaps religion wont have such a lock-down on people's reasoning skills, and there'd be less bigotry as a result. the TC asked "Why isn't prostitution legal", and i answered it.Please Log In to post.
