Why won't Obama release his birth certificate?

As many of you are probably aware, Barack Obama still refuses to release his birth certificate to the public. What does he have to hide? If he is a legal citizen why doesn't he just release the document and repudiate any claims that he is not a legitimate presidential candidate? Can someone give me a reason why he would not release his birth certificates and clear up any ambiguity about his citizenship? What does he have to hide if he was born the United States?bungie93

If 9/11 wasn't by the government, why doesn't they just release the videos and repudiate any claims that he is not a legitimate presidential candidate? I think you guys are failing to see the big picture.

If he has nothing to hide, why wouldn't he just release his birth certificate? All he has to do is tell his campaign to release the records. That's it.

If the records are genuine, then the issue becomes a moot point and people will stop questioning whether or not he can even run for president.

The only reason he has not released his records is that he has something to hide.
