ppl can find out what she did from the internet. anything she tries to say about any type of "value" is undermined.

black_cat19

Then it's the people you should hope never get help, because then those people are at fault for letting something as idiotically trivial as this get in the way of getting help for their marriage or family. She auctioned off her virginity for a better financial position, not to solve her relationship problems.

Let me tell you something, this is most definitely not trivial lol

I lol'd.

How is it not? It doesn't even make her a slut, she needed money for her studies, sure it's an extreme solution, but c'mon, give her a break...

That means it's okay as long as you have a good reason for being a prostitute. Yeah I need money for food, so that makes being a whore okay.

sure they do. if he feels that it's right to do is he going to be as impassioned to argue the other side? and what if the other side uses that info against him making him seem like a hypocrite. i'm sorry but it really does effect his performance.

Then you know nothing about law. What the lawyers have or have not done in their past has no bearing on the arguments made in the court.

How often would her clients google her name ?

you don't google your doctors? I think it's pretty common and will be more common with the new generation.

I have never herd of anyone googling their doctors.

A slut is a prostitute, and a prostitute is someone who sells sex for money. So I think it fits.

So what if it's for studies? How about dropping out for a year and work?

I don't think a matrimonial adviser has a moral right to advise someone when she's done something like this.

If she does this, I reach the conclusion she has her head pretty much messed up.

You see what makes it different from prositution, is it's an auction.

You gotta pay attention to these things. ;)

I'm sure she is very classy

Wasn't there an old story about Winston Churchill about that? I've found a couple versions but the point is the same.

At a dinner party one night, a drunk Churchill asked an attractive woman whether she would sleep with him for a million pounds. "Maybe," the woman said coyly. "Would you sleep with me for one pound?" Churchill then asked. "Of course not, what kind of woman do you think I am?" the woman responded indignantly. "Madam, we've already established what kind of woman you are," said Churchill, "now we're just negotiating the price."

in some states you can't be a lawyer if you were a felon and even in other states there is a background check and you'd have to fully explain your actions. they have a moral fitness evaluation as well. your past actions do indeed have bearing.

I like how she waffles between the idea of female empowerment and capitalism. Apparently she doesn't realize there's a word for what she is, and that word is whore.

I also love her choice of major in light of her financial decision.

Not unless its in Clark County NV or Rohde Island where its legal.

Silly Clark County, trying to keep the prostitutes out of Las Vegas. I think that should be the place where they're most welcome but noooooo, it has to be "family friendly" somehow.

If she does this, I reach the conclusion she has her head pretty much messed up.

She doesn't do it for a living, she'll get the money and go study so she can have an actual profession.

I'm pretty sure this will get her more than that much, much faster. Again, maybe not the best solution to finantial problems but effective nonetheless.

Why the heck not? What does this even have to do with marriage? This isn't even wrong, or at least it shouldn't be unless your a fundamentalist christian or something. When it comes right down to it, she's an adult and she can do whatever she wants with her own body, no matter how wrong you think it is.

I reach the conclusion she's very liberal and comfortable with her sexuality, as opposed to a conservative, submissive nun. Sure she may be going a little into "slutty" territory and might not be the world's classiest woman, I myself don't like her attitude, but just because I don't like her that doesn't mean she's wrong, and there's nothing wrong about the act itself, either, she was in a bind.

In that case, studying is also wrong because you are working to get a better future. It's the same thing out of the perspective, it's enduring a small amount of bad time for a greater future. EVERYONE WHO CAN DO THAT... ARE ACTUALLY DOING THAT!

The price doesn't necessarily include money. It could just be something else that you really want that maybe even a job couldn't get you.

Why bring that up, if you can't find any other means in which to discredit his argument?

Have you seen her agument? Does it even make any sense? Give me a break, if you're arguing with someone, at least use some quality arguments.

You are the one hiding yourself from the fact that everyone are selling themselve for money in one way or another. In that case everyone are prostitute from a moral point of view. That's the vision of the thing, I have simply took your philosophy and your words in the right perspective to make you understand how wrong you are.

Prostitution is a profession... it's in the bible if you are religious...

really? money means nothing to me... but when I do need it, I would get a job which isn't illegal, and doesn't spread disease while I do it.

leejohnson7
illegal is subjective and depending on location. You can spread diseases or not spread diseases for free, too.

redgarl is defending it so much I am starting to wonder.

Redgarl

Wonder what? That him, or someone he knows, is a prostitute?

Why bring that up, if you can't find any other means in which to discredit his argument?

I don't give a bull about religion.

Your ideals are pretty messed up by the way.

Prostitution is the act of having sex with someone who is paying you to do it. It is NOT forcefully a profession.

And, working honestly for money, is not prostitution, at least you're contributing towards something a bit more important than a dude's boner.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prostitution

Apperently doesnt have to be a profession, can be one act, one time deal.

[QUOTE="Redgarl"]Being forever free of hard work during your entire life full of pleasures for... 1 or 2 hours of bad time...

In that case, studying is also wrong because you are working to get a better future. It's the same thing out of the perspective, it's enduring a small amount of bad time for a greater future. EVERYONE WHO CAN DO THAT... ARE ACTUALLY DOING THAT!

I'm still trying to figure out why sex is such a divine thing. You have sex with someone for money and you're a disgusting whore. you put up a wall for someone and you're an amazing handyman.

You actually see the same thing as I see... human hypocrisy. Values and morals are not logical, whatever we say or think will never make any sense out of them. They can only manipulate peoples feelings, while logic is repulsive... facing the truth is one of the few thing humanity can't admit.

Shiro-kun
you think selling yourself in a non-physical manner is less demoralizing?

That would depend on the context. What do you mean exactly?

Dunno. Pure conjecture. I just don't know why selling sex is such a big deal. Not that I would spend money on sex.. but I only have sex with people I know and respect.

So the price is relevant?

Redgarl

Everyone has a price.

The only difference is that some peoples are never going to admit it. I never hide myself from the truth...

nope. now of course if it's for survival for you or your family it's understandable but if it's just for extra money then there are ppl that don't have a price when it comes to that.

Getting to know somebody and dating them would probably mean that any infections are made aware of. A prostitutes clients can both transmit and recieve an infection because it's easier than getting somebody pregnant.

I don't really care much about selling sex. I wouldn't mind if it was legal. I don't support it or agree with it though.

I'm not religious, but I see sex as something a bit more important than a fun night.

And if we're talking about "real work", which everyone does and should do (community contribution is always important), yes I find it less demoralizing. Actually I don't find it demoralizing at all.

It'S not my ideals, it's simply the blind old truth. You seem like a kid learning that Santa is fake. Working is a moral prostitution, you do this for being able to get money and survive... it's a job... most prostitute can't barely pay their drugs and instead of seeing someone, you are seeing an object... someone who doesn't deserve your respect. You are the one disgusted by prostitution, but you are really far from being the bestperson to preach about it dut to your unlogical sense of logic.

You know what, it doesn't matter for a politician because her vote will worth as much as yours.
