Worst band names?

Maybe it's a bit cliche but...U2... really? wtf were they trying to go for? Pointless.TheWindWaker11

1) A type of spy plane used by the United States in the 1960's - made famous when Gary Powers' U2 plane was shot down over Russia and he was taken as a
prisoner during the Cold War. 2) U2 as in "you too" referring to the audience and its role in the musical experience 3) a U2 is an unemployment form in Ireland (see UB40)

The Jonas Brothers. McFly. Nine Inch Nails (I love this band but find the name really weird) The Cure. Portishead (I love this band as well but the name is very strange)

The names I mentioned are strange to me, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Portishead. Jonas Brothers, McFly are beyond horrible. There are alot, seen someone post Vaginal Abyss or something which kind of creeped me out.

Not dissing your favourite band or anything, they got great talent, just not my type of music.

But the other names i can agree with, especially The The.  I think some pretty dumb names are DragonForce, System of a Down (im sorry but it sounds way to much like Rage against the Machine) Spoon, The Naked Brothers band, Dave Mathews band,  and so many other indie names like The Decemberiest.

Haha yeah, DragonForce is awful, and so are their music.

Well I didn't know Portishead were from England, I am glad that I live here as many great bands have come from this place.

Plain White T's, Fall Out Boy, Senses Fail, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Cobra Starship.  It's funny, all I did was launch itunes and look at my sister's music.  That's how bad her taste in music is.  :lol:
