[QUOTE="RVP11"]Of course she wears it for attention. Why else would you a raw meat dress? It's cold, moist and smells bad. Well, she could have been trying to anger the people sensitive towards animal rights. If she was, she did a good job.DaBlastaMasta

The dress had a meaning. Here's a quote from Gaga.

"Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian,"

"If we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat."

Deep, but still...yikes.

I really hope so. She's one of the few talented pop artists of recent memory.

flordeceres

Surely. Otherwise that statement would be ludicrous

I agree with flor here, that statement is just... damn

As a Madonna wannabe I don't think so. originals are the ones who always last while the others could be good copies but they are just copies in the end and people tend to forget about them.

It's kind of hard to tell right now. If she died prematurely, then absolutely she would. If not, she's gonna have to change her image 'cause no one's really shocked by her anymore.

It's kind of tough to judge her career trajectory at this point. But Gaga's a passionate person who really believes in what she does and I'm sure she'll do everything she can to stay relevant. I'm very interested in how her new album turns out, I'm hoping she brings something new to the table but if it's The Fame 2.0 then I'll probably start to doubt her longevity.

I think there is a good chance that will happen given her overwhelming popularity.

She will be remembered. No artist gets this popular, then completely disappears from the public consciousness without leaving any imprint.

She'll be remembered. She's only had two albums thus far but each one has had, what, three cart topping singles? That's pretty impressive. And the rest of her albums aren't shabby either and they too have been chart toppers. She also wears bizarre outfits much like Cher did so she'll probably get remembered for that too.

The fact that this many people on a gaming forum are saying positive things about a pop singer alone says something.

Her music wont last. She'll be just like the boyband explosion in the late 90's and early 00's. People will remember her based solely on how popular she is now, she likely wont still be commercially successful though.

Well, she's extremely talented.

She's a target in the mass media.

And she is this generation's Madonna.

So she will most likely be remembered.

(From her site): She learned piano by ear at age 4. By age 13, she had written her first piano ballad. At 14, she played open mike nights at clubs such as New York's the Bitter End. At age 17, she became was one of 20 kids in the world to get early admission to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Signed by her 20th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls, and has been asked to write for a series of Interscope artists) before her debut album was even released. Sounds pretty talented to me.

I'd love to see her fail Berkeley Music College, where people that want to play proper instrumentation and develop technical skill go.

Being remembered and being relevant are two different things. I still remember The Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, but that doesn't mean that their existence matters.

She's a fad. They die off in less than 10 years. Look at the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, they're like nonexistent now

She's not the next Michael Jackson or Elvis, so get over it.

Gaga is the ultimate love it, you hate it artist. Most of her songs on the radio get to number 1 easily and her fashion sense is trippy. There are also a lot of haters around. Every band/artist has got to have some haters around. To be completely honest, I'm not really a big fan of Michael Jackson.

Continuing on, with her being the second most popular celebrity on Facebook (second to only Michael Jackson) and the fact that she has more hits than Jacko. Do you think she'd be remembered?

Will she be an influence to fashion enthusiasts and the general music lovers 10/20 years after she quits/dies?

Nega3

maybe who knows her music is different so theres a good chance people will remember her

Of course she will. People like katy perry, kesha will be almost forgetten about. Lady Gaga still needs a few more years I think to really cerment herself in the music history books just purely because its becoming an ever increasing list of people to "remember". Anyone to say she is not talented is either musically ignorant or just an 80's metal person with long greasy hair convinced he is the picture of cool lmao. In all honesty she is a pop music icon and she will be remembered. Is there anyone like her at all? I have already seen a few people i.e. beyonce and christania agulera either copy or do songs with her and are quite rightly second fiddle.

I personally think she is pretty awesome and alot more entertaing than most of the drivel we get.

Wtf? Beyonce second fiddle to Gaga? I think its the other way around broski.

Well, she still has almost 300mill views on Bad Romance, and the second most-viewed video on Youtube. As long as views stay up on her videos, where her music is probably listened to more than anywhere else, she'll still be discussed.
