(From her site): She learned piano by ear at age 4. By age 13, she had written her first piano ballad. At 14, she played open mike nights at clubs such as New York's the Bitter End. At age 17, she became was one of 20 kids in the world to get early admission to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Signed by her 20th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls, and has been asked to write for a series of Interscope artists) before her debut album was even released. Sounds pretty talented to me.

I'd love to see her fail Berkeley Music College, where people that want to play proper instrumentation and develop technical skill go.

My brother goes to Berkeley music college:D

They actually just released their debut album recently. Back on topic though I am interested to see what Lady Gaga does in the future. Right now she isnt using her musical training in a way I care about. All her songs just sound like generic pop, but she clearly has some talent. I think she has some potential though there are tons of better singer songwriters around.

Yeah she will...unfortunately for her Madonna would be in the same sentence every time. :PMr_Leonis

Pretty much. She'll be remembered as a Madonna biter.

But unlike Madonna, I doubt any of her songs will become classics.

Do you mean Berklee College Of Music? I'm sure she would do just fine there. She knows her classical music.

Yes, but only because she will be played on the Oldies stations in 20-30 years.

yeah probably. most people outside the forum enjoy her music a lot, so she will be remembered.

That's a pretty bold statement to make about almost 7 billion people.

She is only famous for being the freak troll that she is. If there is a new singer in the future who is more of a weirdo then she is, then I guess she would be forgotten.

Definitely. Gaga has changed the music industry for the better, and has broken many records. She will most definitely be remembered, and hopefully still be in the game in 10 years putting out great music.
