I know my death wouldn't be a central role in a Canadian victory. I just meant it as a general concept in the phrase "die for my country". As for the question itself, I would accept death but I wouldn't necessarily say it's for my country unless it were one of, if not the country in need. Whether it's an individual or a group, the death is for the victim. For me "I would die for my country"Â feels like saying I did it for governmental benefit when instead I would want it to be more of a "I would die for those in need".

That's not really....what I said at all..I meant that I fight for my beliefs. Countries change, their policies change. A person's original ideals always remain somewhere, and we all know that we don't have the same ideals. I'm not just talking about forms of government, either. I'm talking about the way each and every one of us goes through life leading ourselves.
This week Im in a color guard for a soldier who died doing a humanitarian mission, His HMMVW was hit by a 18 wheeler, He died doing humanitarian aid which is a noble way to go, If I was to die that's the way I would perfer to go. As a soldier though my job is to make the other bastard die for their country, But yeah i would.
It'll take alot for me to want to die for my country, There's too many people here that i don't like, screw dying for them!! Maybe i'll just take a bullet in the butt and call it even :D

If my country was getting invaded then yes. But if we were invading some other country for American interest is the region, such as adding the clink in the pockets of politicians then NO.

I'll break it down so it's easy to read. Goku I shut up up in the china thread becuase you never base any of you opinions with fact. Canada has fat people, The UK has fat people, And Japan has fat people. You are 15 as you stating before so it's safe to assume your first hand knowlage of the world is limited. Iran has a smaller army and a much larger oil supply so why did we not invade there if the war was all about oil? Why are Gas prices so high if the war is all about oil? Why are we building schools and Hospitals if we are just there for the oil? Where does Bush have to go? And who are you to demand people loose wait? That's their choice and by forcing your belief on them you are no better then any other bully/dictator/facist. We are a superpower if we do not help people other people will bomb us and if we do help people some one else will bomb us, We are the only reason the U.N. works becuase with out use they would not have the force to uphold their ideals, So what if people hate the U.S. we are still the most prepared to help any country in need in a moments notice.
no and i fight it hard to believe that most of our soldiers are so dishonest about their sadistic and/or adventurous intentions some, i theorize are even masochistic ...................that's my two cents, give or take one or two
