Glad to see what a 14 year old thinks like. I imagined nothing different, and naive. Also, contrary to popular belief, I have traveled the globe and most places I have been I was adored, and sometimes idolized. So your take on everyone outside the US hating us is absurd.

i probably wouldn't have said it better, luke. what bothers me most about this western hatred of the US (and often times other countries which don't apply) is that the view is dictated by mass media. if people actually took the time to somewhat understand foreign policy and engagement, they might come to a better conclusion. the oil thing nearly annoys me to no end (thank you michael moore et al).

Hell yes I would be proud to die for the U.S.A. I am thinking of joining the Guard soon so that I can head off to Iraq or Afghanistan.
I would fight for my country if say another WW turned up and there was a direct threat to my homeland, but otherwise no I wouldn't just enlist and give up on med school and my dreams ect.

Fight and die for the US? Hell no. Government doesnt give a damn if you die for your country, your just another number in the news. If Bush wants to go fight a war, let him go fight it, but dont let him drag the country into it with him. If he wants to call himself a hero, let him go fight his war.
