Well, would you?

Actually I take back my comment. If you we're in the service you know full well who you're fighting for. The rest is all nothing but lies.
No, for many reasons. One of the top reasons is that I don't think war solves anything.spazzx625So if the Chinese invaded you would just say ok no problem? War sucks, war is hell, and war has been exploited over the centuries for dishonorable purposes...but there are reasons to take up arms and defend your country.

You should take more pride in your own country. This is your home, and it has given you the opportunity to live as great as you do. In this country it gives you the opportunity to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. I am proud to be an American.
There have been many before you that have given their lifes to this country. A long list of American's who stood up for what was right, and to assure the American people that those three values - life, liberty, and happiness would be obtained.
But that's just my opinion. And thats my last word on this topic.

What would you fight for? I dont ask this to give you a hard time, I am just curious.
Also, what if you left and your friends andfamily stayed and bad stuff happened to them as a result of the invaders? Would you fight then?

And after they defeated the US and invaded whatever country you went to next, what then?

Sure why not?
But honestly I don't think they would want my services as physically I would be something of a hindrance.
Nope, not a chance.super_mario_128Saying that, I'd sooner fight than be imprisoned by the invading country, so it depends on the circumstances.
Depends if my country is in the wrong.. i wouldn'tfight on foreign soil for my country unless they are there for a good reason, peacekeeping with the peoples approval for example. if it were being invaded then i would fight also.
There are also hundreds of thousands of troops that died for their own countries, and many of those issues could be considered wrong. I'm all for America, but I'm more for living. My father and grandfather were both in the Air Force, my grandfather served in World War II and the Korean War...I am very proud of that, but he also told me never to enlist.A long list of American's who stood up for what was right, and to assure the American people that those three values - life, liberty, and happiness would be obtained.

No. I couldn't justify killing a complete stranger to myself. I'dbe prepared toserve in a non-combat role if I was conscripted though.
