Would you love CHAT feature on Gamespot ?

Ummm ... Just like Facebook . You can chat with your gamespot e-freinds or group chat ( PLUS you can always report and block users if you feel uncomfortable as usual ) . I've been thinking about it and i definately feel it'll be awesome as gamespot is so popular online .

I'd probably never use it.

if by chat you mean like talking into a microphone or something? that could be interesting

I think it'd be great. A dedicated IRC channel would be nice too.

have you ever been to chat rooms on anime sites or something? those things are horrible and unless mods are on point 24/7 it wouldn't be a good idea.

It wont happen though and I cant really blame GS since they try to seem some order here.A chatroom would be pretty damn hard to control..not really because of the users but the Porn bots and other kinds of spam..

Not trying to be a downer at all but it just wont happen and would be to hard to keep order within their rule set right now(hell even the rated R era couldnt have chat) :P

Gamespotmanagement can try a trial chat feature to see if it works or not . You can always close the featureanytime . Nowadays CHAT / Join online games are completely in ( See Steam , X-Fire , Raptr ) .

I was thinking as i notice Gamespot is very popular online and got lots of gamersmembers and the Chat featuremight work as it'll be a great enhancement for the site . More users 'll join .

It would be nice but Chat would be rated X in half a day and have a constant flow of text unlike the forums.

It would be fun if it worked but it wouldn't and would be a waste of Jodies time (or whoever adds those things)

It's not a bad idea. One problem I see would be how to maintain order in it. The only possible way I can think of would be to assign "Chat" Mods. I think it could work out.

They had chat-rooms with mods during the E3 press conferences, so precedent has already been set for GS.
