would you play one round of Russian Roulette for a shot at ONE MILLION dollars?

if not, then how about ONE BILLION?

information:

- 1 spin only

- 6 round revolver (thus 16.667% chance of death)

- must stop the chamber (no letting the chamber spin til it stops)

- just for playing, you still get the money anyway and it's inherited by whomever you want to give it to (if you lose)

try answering before reading the replies of others so that their decisions don't sway your initial response. this is a ridiculous hypothetical, but it's fun to see what people have to say. :)

In a heartbeat I would as I have little concern for my own life and with a million smackaroonies I could not only elevate my life to some semblance of decency, but I could greatly improve the lives of many others that I've met all over the years all of whom I would very much like to reward for their kindness.

One million, despite all the hype, is not a very large sum of money. A person can blow through that VERY fast and most people who go through sudden windfalls like that do. I would do it for about 100 million at least.

It would have to be enough money that I'd never have to work again. If I never have to work again, then it might be worth a 1 in 6 chance of death but if I'm still going to have to work, then what's the point? So I can buy a few extra things? Pass.

it's up to you if you have to work again... if you're irresponsible and blow it all, then you're probably gonna have to work to live.

Sure, could be done in theory, but it'd be very tough to retire on a million. Most people would make more as a wage slave than living off the interest on a millie.

It would be very difficult and uncomfortable, if not impossible, to make 1 million dollars last the rest of my life without working. It would have to be a pretty comfortable existence for me to risk that significant of a probability of death.

In the past one million dollars might've been a lot, but now it's nothing. So no I wouldn't. Maybe 100 million since if I die my family could live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

For money, no. There are few other incentives that I would possibly consider though.
