I blame Georgia for all this. I have no clue why they killed citizens and peacekeepers, and expected Russia not to retaliate.
some music while we wait for the end:
WWIII - KMFDM
Xeros606
Here's some for some cheering up for the end:
Enjoy

Actually Georgia knew exactly what they were getting into. America and Russia both warned them not to use military action against South Ossetia. They did so anyway and created this whole situation. A new Cold War is definately about to begin but I don't think World War 3 will begin. Russia and US aren't THAT stupid.

That's a cool qoute, but in all honesty I don't think we'll be around for a world war 4
The mutant roaches will be fighting instead of people, seeing as they can survive nukes.

The U.S. still would have wanted to place missle shields in Poland.

Listen, Russia is like a big crying baby in the supermarket; the more attention you give it the more it crys. Just forget the babble that is coming out of Moscow, no one is taking them seriously beside you guys.

bingo. I think Russia just wants a fight, really. They basically dont care what US has to say. This is proven by the way they are acting these couple of weeks. Leaving Georgia and on there way out they said what the heck, lets crush a couple of georgia police cars and take a couple of US Hummers while we at it and take our sweet time.

Ive never heard about Russia crying. All the crying I've been hearing about is coming from Georgia.

Still doesnt change the fact that the first conflict was made by Georgia attacking SO.[QUOTE="Big_player"][QUOTE="Vilot_Hero"][QUOTE="Big_player"][QUOTE="Vilot_Hero"]I blame Georgia for all this. I have no clue why they killed citizens and peacekeepers, and expected Russia not to retaliate.

The US was against the Georgian invasion of SO. So Georgia doesn't give a rats but about America either.

You would have perferred them occupying it? They said all they wanted to do was demilitarize Georgia to make sure they can't attack South Ossetia again.
why do you people say the end times. we lived past WWI and WWII why would we all die, someone will wintimpaniman10
Well Christians say it's end times because everything is beginning to line up with what the Bible calls the last days. As for other people, I guess it's because we have much more nukes then we did ww1 or 2.
Doesnt anyone rememebr last year when everyone was saying it was WWIII because Israel went into Lebanon and ended in about a week also. Everyone was saying it was the start of WWIII. This Georgia conflict is a small thing nothing bigger will come because of it.bo-The conflict now is pretty big. You have the USA involved with their missle systems, Russia threatning Poland with nukes and they are not pulling out of Georgia, and you have 5 Canadian peacekeepers in Georgia(USA cant solve their own problems).

But we do have less than we did durring the cold war.

Russia's wanted what Russia's basically always wanted: to advance their interests. All their threats and whatnot as of late have basically just been attempting to make US allies less apt to cooperate with the US because of what Russia says they'll do (or have already done) if they don't cease and desist. Having strong US allies at its doorstop would be bad for its strength.
At the same time, the US wants to advance its own interests, and those definitely do include having strong US allies at Russia's doorstop. Such is the way of global politics.
Anyone who thinks that Russia's going to start lobbing nukes at everyone (and thus causing their own demise in the resulting nuclear war) does not understand how fundamentally rationally self-interested the Russian government is.

Russia is pulling out of Georgia...

by Friday, they should be completely withdrawn to South Ossetia and the other seperatist province.

Do you relize that both the US and Russia could wipe all life on earth just from nukes. This isn't a conventional war where the battle lines just move back and forth. They could just launch some nukes that will enact MAD and that would be it. Life could just end like that.
2012: WWIII begins. That leaves just enough time to stock up on canned food, bottled water, gasoline and weapons.
2020: Becomes clear that humans are retards when nukes are launched to end war and the mutants zombies rise.
2050: Earth is a desert devoid of all life, not counting the mutants and zombies. Survivors live in underground Remnant Hives.
2087: Humans leave earth to live in space colonies.
2112: 100 years after WWIII. An inter-colony war begins.
2150: Hyperdrive developed so we can go @!$% up other planets in the universe. Earth is competly forgotten.
Either that or or it will end up like Fallout. Or we substitute the nuke for bio-weapons. Either way WWIII is iminent and probaly screw up earth a whole lot.

Cockroach Nukes...
USA should of kept this a secret from the russians.......russia wouldnt know and they wouldnt be a big bunch of cry babies.
USA- "we are installing a missile defense system on poland ( our allies soil) )
Russia- *WAAA WAAA* "no we will nuke them if you do cause they will attack us!" *WAAAA* *WAAAA*

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
They want the leverage they had over the Eastern European states they "liberated" in WWII. They overreacted in Georgia (ethnic cleansing, cluster bombs on civilian targets, attack on a hospital, etc.) because they wanted to basically send a message of "This is what happens when you ally with the US instead of us!" to the rest of Eastern Europe. If you've been reading up on Russia in recent history (I have this great BBC latest headlines thing in my browser), you'll notice how much more totalitarian they're becoming. (crazy propaganda [scaling down Georgia death tolls], murders of independent journalists, terrible threats to other nations [not quite totalitarian, but still a point],Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International reports on how bad its getting, etc.)
My emotional side tells me to be worried because of Russias threat, but my logical side tells me that Russia would never risk an open nuclear war with the worlds only superpower no matter how power hungry Putin is.honkyjoe
Despite what I said above, this is true. They're power-hungry, but not stupid. They just want to make a point and look tough, not go to war and ruin their country.
EDIT: Am I the only that noticed "about to began"? Kind of lol, but not that funny.
