It's entirely possible they weren't the same person... but the thought that there might be a whole syndicate of Hopelesses and Snipeses living under one roof somewhere is sinister enough to warrant blocking as many IPs as it takes.

Almost any thread he entered turned into a circular mess of an argument because he argued for the sake of arguing. He actually tried to claim that Matthew Shepherd wasn't a hate crime because of stupid legal technicality.

This explains so much as to why him and Snipes fed off each other in certain threads. Always supporting each other in their arguments, that made me a bit annoyed every now and then.

So how do you account for the other conservative posters who had some of the same debate practices? If this is just as case of the big bad mean liberal hating on minority opinion, why was Snipes the only conservative that got the flak that he did.

The answer is: Snipes did these things to a much more extreme degree than liberal and conservative posters that do the same things to a much lesser degree.

If Hopeless and Snipes were indeed different people, there's nothing wrong with them backing eachother up if they had the same opinions.

And if users having the same opinion and arguing it once doesn't have to be tag-teaming. It could simply be people arguing the same stances.
