[QUOTE="_Kazi_"][QUOTE="wemhim"][QUOTE="_Kazi_"] That scientist has completley missed the entire point of love, sexual human relationships and why people like fall in love with each other. Personally this guy couldn't be more wrong. People fall in love for so many differant reasons, and its deffinaitly not because they have the SAME personality but because they have differant personalities. Yes, people see the physical body attractive but its not just about that, and we should all no that.
Plus bangin' a robot is gross and you have to be a royal, first class, five star loser to do it.:P
P.S. - We haven't in fact got to the stage of Artificial Intelligance. A computer, or robot will never be able to think for itself, or like a human for that matter. Computers are designed to be told what to do by the user. The amount of memory, processing power and time to programme the smallest fo human reaction would take decades to do.
A.I. WILL NEVER EXIST!!!!!

You're wrong. AI does excist, you're talking about Artificial Conceince, that DOESN'T excist, yet. However, AI DOES excist, they're different. And you REALLY don't know that, 60 years from now will be so different, for anyone to think they know what will be possible then, is well, arrogant. No. I'm not arrogant and i'm not saying that i know what will happen in the next 60 years, but neither do you, no one does. I am merely basing my views by looking at modern society and the advancement of computer technology. We're still telling computers what to do instead of computers doing there own thing. Do you have any solid evidence of a computer making rational, un-explanitory decisions on its own with out any human aid? Well I haven't. And i'm pretty sure thats the defintion if A.I. All computers, computer programs, robots whatever you want to call them, they have all been programmed by humans. Humans tell them what to do. We are they're conceince and they do the calculation.
A.I. is suppossed to mimic humans and there personalities and emotions, but how can it? Humans are rational, un-decisive and to a computer very slow. We couldn't be more differant.
You say that anyone how thinks they know what will happen in the next 60 years is arrogant? But then surely the scientist who stateing that in the next century we will be humping robots is arrogant as well? And from what I gather your on his side?
You haven't given much of a reply just by saying that A.I. does exist. How? Where? When? And who came up with it? If you can give me solid proof of a computer that can mimic or duplicate a human and there emotions you let me know. But looking at how computers are advancing now? We're advancing in the wrong direction for A.I.
I still stand by my statement. A.I. will never exist. And that scientist is nuts.
That's true, I don't know either. However, AI DOES excist, what you're talking about is conceince, the AI in MGS for example, is AI, it's just not conceince. Well could you elaborate on what MGS acctually is? From what I know the defintion of A.I. is that a man-made creation can mimic or duplicate himself. That includes personality and emotion, and thats impossible to programme. Even in 60 years from now.
Anyway, I was more touching on the scientists view on love and human relationship than A.I. He states that people fall in love because of similarity between personality. But from what I've seen, heard and experienced its the complete opposite. People fall in love because they see the person they strive to be or the qualities of that person that they respect, but know that theycould never be them, or like them. Thus they fall in love. Bu hey , thats what I think love is. I'm sure you have your own defintion.
