Don't worry, we all have our guilty pleasures. I like Bee Gees and The Offspring :P.
The Bee Gees aren't a guilty pleasure. They rock.
Same goes for The OffspringThis topic is locked from further discussion.

well witchever groups utilize growling vocals, i dont much care for them.
i dont get into the whole genre things, as there are tons of subgenres and such for metal, so i generalized.

Your list is amazing in a reverse kind of way. 01 and 07 are in my all time top 10 list. 09 and 10 I like a whole lot. Basically just about everyone on that list is on alot of people's all time faves list. Different strokes I guess.
Yeah, Talent does not imply quality in the ears of everyone.
Radiohead and SOAD for example, get a lot of hate, but that's completely understandable, they're not at all bands for everyone.
But anyone who knows anything about music can tell you they have talent.

Anyway, i don't have a least favorite.
If i don't like something, i just don't think about it.
foo fighters, most overrated band ever. Can't stand them[QUOTE="Vesica_Prime"]What's wrong with deadmau5? One of my favorite electronic musicians.Nickelback, Skrillex, deadmau5, Linkin Park, Tokio Hotel, Kesha, Lady Gaga.

Just really dislike the aggressive, fast pace style of dubstep.
Any group that has those stupid spamming twitter trends
Also Foo Fighters and Rise Against because thats all the second rcok station in my area ever plays

wrong.
Not entirely.
There IS such a thing as badly composed music, but that does NOT mean that someone out there won't enjoy it's sound.
i think a better term would be "There is no such thing as bad sound".
LMFAO.Wtf?And I do dislike Justin Bieber's music, but it's obviously not aimed at me,so I'm not gonna start hating.
Modern pop, the majority of todays metal bands (including all the "core" subgenres) and dubstep. Well tbh theres more but those are the main ones.
There is a lot of great music out there but as the years go by certain genres/scenes wane and then thrive etc. I find it like that anyway.
At the moment there is a lot of crap out. The worst ones for me would be all these viking/modern black/death metal bands that all sound the same and just come off as forced and pretentious, they even seem so wrapped up in their image that I'd compare them next to boy bands. Also this autotune crap has just pushed it too far. Probably 80% or more of my music is pre 2000, what music I listen to which is recent is mostly either old bands still going or local/underground bands that are great but don't really get out there.
Well thats just my 2 cents, noone get angry lol.
Okay, I'm probably going to receive some flak here, but here goes nothing: I pick Led Zeppelin simply because I eventually got tired of everybody praising them like they're the best thing since sliced bread. I could have picked Limp Bizkit, except I hate that band and at least Led Zeppelin can play music that they more or less ripped off from blues musicians.
2nd post, but I forgot I absolutely HATE Mastodon. Don't like their style and they are arrogant pricks. YoshiYogurt
Funny, I never saw Mastodon as arrogant pricks by any means.

Funny, I never saw Mastodon as arrogant pricks by any means.
Basically thisGuitar World magazine interviewed MASTODON's Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher for its November 2006 issue. An excerpt from the chat follows:
Guitar World: Let me posit something: You guys definitely have prog elements to your sound, and yet you're exciting and valid you're cool. Why do you think you're cooler than a band like, say, DREAM THEATER?
Hinds: "Because we don't have a little Chinese girl playing bass! [laughs]"
Guitar World: Yikes!
Hinds: "And they dress all gay too. I mean, look at them: they wear those cheesy leather pants. The lead singer especially: he's got that really gay thing going on with his hair. Plus, he sings like a **** opera singer and **** Their hair, their clothes, their music...They're gay
They insulted a better band that's been around for much longer than they have. The "Little Chinese girl" thing is pretty racist IMO.
Excluding modern pop trash because it's not music.
Rush, The Eagles, AC/DC.
I'm sure there's more, I just can't think of them atm.

Dream Theater is not even in the same league as Mastodon.
...though they did come off as pricks in that interview
Mastodon is just not my thing. I've tried 3 albums and nothing clicks. Don't like the vocals or instrumentation at all. Dream Theater is better than Mastodon IMO because they just make better songs with style and meaning that appeal to me.Don't hate on Ke$ha.I'll just state the famous ones:
tjricardo089
- Justin Bieber
- Foo Fighters
- Ke$ha
- Nicki Minaj
- Steve Aoki
Do you not like Rush, because of the vocals? I'm not a huge fan of their vocals, but I still love the music.Excluding modern pop trash because it's not music.

.... Can't argue with you there... Hinds definitely sounds drunk judging by his "thoughts" on Dream Theater

I like System Of A Down. :P They're weird. :| ... but I like a few of their songs.
SOAD, much like artists like Radiohead or Metallica, are a too extremistic and strange to be a band for everyone, it's not something like Nirvana, which rely almost entirely on their accessibility and catchyness, they're a "love-or-hate" band, you either appretiate their music... or you don't(most of the time anyway).
Although they have an undeniable talent, but that doesn't mean everyone will enjoy the way they express it.

I Was tearing down Kurt more than Nirvana, i didn't say they didn't made decent songs, cause i think they did, but ultimately, their big hook was their catchyness more than anything else.
But ok, i'll just edit the post if it bothers you so much.
