Dam i never used the IRNV scope for long range shots as i have only been using assualt and engineer class, i'd just use it in close quarters with lots of rubble and smoke and also when ever i was crossing a large open area to make sure there are no snipers hiding in the bushes, its not like it helps with long range shots as its only 1x magnification.

AT mines, what the hell i know on some servers with 500+ starting tickets the mines can start to pile up abit but lots of people still nade them for the bonuses, thats stupid making them exlode after the player has died for 20secs, its supposed to be realistic, if some dumb*ss in a tank cant take a second to glance down infront of him to see if theres any mines then his team doenst deserve to have such a noob at the wheel of a game changing vehicle.

AT mines stick out like an american in china and if your stupid enough to roll over them then you dont deserve to be driving.

Also why reduce the damage done to infantry by AA guns, sure i can why tanks but in real life if someone in an AA gun fires a burst of rounds at you its going to rip your limbs off, their perfectly balanced for damage against infantry all you need to do is reduce their armour but not their damage, i'm pretty sure that dual 30mm cannons of a Tunguska killing an infantry soldier almost instantly is pretty dam true to life.

One of the only good gun tweaks is the AN-94 tweak as it will be perfect gun now.

I was getting insta-killed from half way across the map by AA guns last night. That seems a bit ridiculous.

Yeah its realistic but its not balanced and its not fun. Guys in AA can kill infantry, tanks, jets and helis easily. It was stupid. they can still do all that but its been reduced on infantry for the better.

played a few rounds with mostly infantry, seems much smoother to me and the chat window is now acceptable looking and well placed. Ping on scoreboard is nice and killing the IRNV is good even though it now needs a buff. Battlelog got a few tweaks, namely more filters. I think the region filtering allows a bit more customisation so that might help some.

Definitely nerfed. In outdoor areas its far less blinding, Indoors its the same as before.

Best part of this changelog:

Added alternate HUD colors to help colorblinds

Did not know "coloblinds" was such a definitive group of people that we call by what they are. Most will probably not find it funny, but it tickled me so I shared. Carry on.

I agree, sometimes there is such a thing as "too" realistic. I don't think the changes will really take that much away from the experience though.

Wow, the reduced the required coop score, for the coop weapons, a lot. Before, the G3 was a bit over 400K score, now it's a measly 160K. :| Makes me feel a bit stupid for farming 380K score. Guess it didn't take too long...

Decreased full auto accuracy my ass. And the hit detection is still f*****. Why can't DICE get the important things right for once?

New IR scope. You can't tell much from these shot and its much much better in game but you get the idea.

Outside Metro:

(Some of my guys are right in front of me but as you can see they are hard distinguish. Buts its better in game)

It is. When the music kicks in that tells you the game's about to end, that is when the tower falls.

You can't make it fall yourself, unfortunately.

Well then that sucks.

It would be cool to take down all those annoying antenna snipers by dropping the whole thing and maybe getting a few kills on the ground too. Or at least half way through the round have it fall and deform and change the landscape. Not at the very end when its pointless

Okay, 3rd time is the charm I guess. I played about 5 matches on Operation Metro. Game seems to run the same prior to this big patch. But overall, BF3 runs much, MUCH better since its launch day. I remember the first weeks or so, the game would lag so bad and I would get killed so much. Now, I live through more than 60% of my encounters.

Well, I've been experiencing BSoDs after a few matches ever since the last patch. This one seems to have fixed that. Was playing all day and didn't get a single BSoD.

Aside from the flashlight not being toned down enough, I like the update.
