That doesn't makea difference alot of these people are casual and use their computers they bought for work/school. They have little or no knowledge for upgrading their pc etc etc.. And alot of people just don't want to research it sadely enough.. Lets not forget numerous problems can occur with computers constantly so many infact that you can not always conduct exactly what it is.. But you may have to spend hours narrowing it down.

How about DONT CARE IF SOMEONE USES A PC OR CONSOLE TO PLAY GAMES!!! but it really does piss me off when some idiot thinks that PC gamers need to spend $600 to upgrade there GPU every month so that they can play recent games WTF!?!?! I bought my 7600GT for $150 a year ago and it can still play recent games on med settings or even max settings(which LAGGGS a tiny bit lol) and i havnt upgraded it yet and the only reason i want to upgrade it to a 8800GTS now is because i want to play Armed Assault on MAx settings with absoulutly no lag.

I personnally HATE consoles because once you beat the game theres NO replay value , but when you play PC games theres probably hundreds of mods out there for that game. for example half life 2 i bought that game a year ago and IM STILL PLAYING IT lol because the mods for it are so freakin awesome.

When i was reading some PS3 magazine some douche bag said that a PS3 is 20 times more powerful than a "standard" PC... I was like WTF!?! THERES NO SUCH THING AS A STANDARD PC! That guy probably thought those Craptops sold at retail stores were "standard" PC's. of course a PS3 is more powerful than those PC's graphics wise. Thoses PC's are made for people who only use it to do work and crap like that. if they compared it a $2000 PC thats custom built by yourself that PC would make the PS3 go on its knees hehe......

well All Pcs will be treated like a stepchild due to the fact all ofour handy dandy lil gadgets have spawned off of the PC

your xboxs gamecubes and so on.

I remeber cause I am an old Gamer when quake and doom were the hottests things on the planet you had no cosoles. The only2 consoles that was out at the time of these2 great games was nitendoand sega i cant remember if there was another one out at that time.

we as hardcore gammers were a victim of our own doings, Building faster systems, better cooling, over clocking. We built todays games just because we decided it was time for speed. its not ourPCs that are the step children but us the hardcore gamers.

Let me clear up some things. First of all, this statistic is about the whole world. Consoles are widely used only in the US.

Second, everything can be easily "pirated", although this is not considered pirating in the normal countries. In all countries except the US it is legal to download as long as you don't sell it. Making profit from cracked games is pirating.

Third, online is possible on cracked games. Not all servers are official. And everything that uses GameSpy let's you play without buying the game.

Fourth, the 45% are shared between all the consoles used today: Wii, PS2, PS3, XBox, XBox360 and so on.

Fifth, gamers that don't buy their games would be impossible to track and put into this statistic.

Sixth, most PC gamers around the world play CS(not Source), Starcraft:Broodwar and World of Warcraft

Right now there are over a dozen 360 games I cant wait to play before the end of this year and yeah I will play crysis and I will play the witcher but after that my pc is going back into the corner to await another decent release.

Also, take in the consideration that there is also a small percentage who are hooked on one game like World of Warcraft, EvE Online, Everquest 2, CS:S ect.

Ithink that it's very sad they are abandoning the PC gamers and scatering us to Consoles like PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. There just havent been any major PC releases recently (well apart from Overlord but that came out on the Xbox 360 also) and not at all if you compare it to the Xbox 360 exclusive releases.

Xbox360 sales: 6million worldwide, 4.5million US (as of Dec 31/06)
Playstation 3: 2million worldwide, 1.3million North America (see: Canada, US, Mexico)

None of the consoles are used more in the US than they are worldwide, and 2 of those 3 statistics are for the entire North America, not just the US. The worldwide market is larger than the US market.

First, PC games are easier (and cheaper) to pirate than console games. That's not to say console games can't be pirated, but the PC is easier. Console game pirating is a far smaller problem than PC game pirating. That's part of why a lot of developers/publishers are leaning moretowards the consoles in recent years.

lol congratulations on picking a bunch of crap games out of a hat of random insults. No I was thinking more along lines of Mass Effect, GTA 4, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, condemned 2, turok, fracture, two human, bioshock, etc. And yes some of these are for PC too but for some reason I prefer playing on my nice tv and sitting in my bed then being hunched over my computer screen.

I would say PC get more since anyone can make a PC game and release it. There are soo many more games released on PC compared to a console and some of the developers are low budget. Judging by some of the reviews I wonder why they are released in the first place.

If players knew about such games people play them look at runescape

If it was any thing stores and game devs should chargeing more money for pc games than concoles why because pc games last longer. However for me I like the way things are.

If a game is junk on either Pc or console it wouldn't be a hit.

If you're talking blanket PC games (flash, freebie games etc) then yeah it has more junk. If you're talking about what you'd find in a gaming store however... that's when the consoles would win the junk award.

another thing we should look at about pc games, is us pc gamers have access to free games for exmple web games and old games. even old concole games like saga and we don't have to pay a dime for
