[QUOTE="GTR12"]I put the downloaded in C:\ProgramData\Origin\DownloadCache\ and hit refresh and nothing =/ I don't need to manualy extract anything? If you downloaded the game client before, you would have stored it somewhere, in Origin, go to settings, and look where the install folder is, you need to put what you downloaded in there.
Prexxus
You need to extract the RAR or ZIP file, if you had one.

Thanks.Get MSE. I liked Avira for a while, but it kept detecting **** as a trojan. MSE is smart about incoming files and it catches a lot of things none of the other anti-viruses couldn't. It's truly the best out there imho, when I thought nothing could beat Avira. I was proven wrong.Downloading the beta and my antivirus pops up saying

OMG! WHY IS THIS PROGRAM SO HARD TO USE?? Maybe I'm just stupid (probably) Ok, I have my downloaded games set to: D:\Games\Origin Games I have my installers folder set to: D:\Origin Installers\cache I dumped my 'Battlefield 3 Beta' folder in the installers folder. Am I doing it right??? I'm freaking out, here.C_Rule
Thats what I did, and now just the refresh my games thing.

Try going through the Ea store page rather than origin. Same page as the free games one, but without origin. It'll get you to log in from there and then it added it to my games list and just installed it. It might be redownloading it, but I'm not getting any speed readings so I dunno. Its getting somewhere though[QUOTE="C_Rule"]OMG! Best bet is to just keep refreshing the page. Much faster than going through origin. =/

Is it doing anything to your downloads or installers folder? Like, placing a folder/file in one of them?Hammer the server yourself, that's what I did constantly refreshed and now I am downing it :) I've already downloaded the client, don't want to have to wait 3 hours, to download it again. I don't know what folder I'm suppose to put it under. Right under the installers directory, the cache folder or the folder with my account name...[QUOTE="C_Rule"]

Origin and everything related to it is down...so stop trying...
P.S. Thats why EA should not exist on the PC market...they cant handle things like this...they are unprofessional and they have no clue about gaming or anything related to gaming what so ever...EA is the worst thing that ever happened to gaming industry...period.

Start the download in Origin, and then cancel the download so that you have BF3 on the my games section. Open up Origin and go to your settings. Put the folder you downloaded into the Downloaded Games folder in Origin. Now under the My Games section in Origin you should see BF3 beta and under it should be the option to install That method worked for me...my 560ti run the game on high :D[QUOTE="C_Rule"]

My Origin is dead, like completely, it wont even connect, and without that, no BF3. They betta fix this mess for the actual game.
So im downloading it right now. Go to the origin website C_Rule poset last page, and keep refreshing. I got in by doing that. Then went to the Beta and hit "Get It Now" And it launched Origins. Took about 20 seconds for the User Agreements to show up, then BAM Downloading now.
See you guys on there ;)
Did that but when i try to download it on Origin it says "Error 111 try again"So im downloading it right now. Go to the origin website C_Rule poset last page, and keep refreshing. I've been watching this damn circle spin around, for about an hour, now.C_RuleSame... It sucks so much much and I know Origin is new and its a beta but damn I'm p*****! I really hoped I could play it today. Seeing as I won't have a day off for another 6 days.
So Origin exploded when 500k people tried to access it at once?
This shoudln't be suprising. Not even Steam could handle a load like that (and often doesn't on midnight releases).
I wouldn't worry about it guys. They probably don't have nearly enough servers up and running for the beta test.
You're right they don't, I've waited for servers to load for 5-10 minutes only to be told its full and its been doing that for the past hour now.So Origin exploded when 500k people tried to access it at once?

Steam's server load can handle far more - checkout the 4 million active users a day. Anyway, it's a beta (still) for Origin and BF3, I imagine the EA downloader reskinned isn't up to the same standards of Steam in this regard yet. All kind of like the BF2 demo release; can't login, crash crash, server browser freezing. So Origin exploded when 500k people tried to access it at once?

I nearly died inside when I finally got it working and it asked for a product code. I just skipped past that somehow and now its downloading. WhOoP!!!
[QUOTE="ultrapc"]I'm not even getting an error. I'm getting nothing. :| I can't determine if the issue is the servers being hammered or Origin it self . Whoever makes decisions at EA is a freaking idiot .Anyone else is getting Error 111 ??? or am i the only one getting it ?

I think that's either for the pre order or the Caspian Border map access? Skipped it as well.I nearly died inside when I finally got it working and it asked for a product code. I just skipped past that somehow and now its downloading. WhOoP!!!

I was just playing for the past hour or so.. the first part of Metro has SERIOUS issues. Tons of places where you can clip through the ground and get stuck there, and shoot enemies above. But as soon as you get past that area, it's awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect from the game, but I'm pleasantly surprised so far.
