Best RPG ever

How could you possibly have Oblivion on a poll for best RPG? That doesn't make any sense at all. SuperBeast

He has Diablo on there too, so I guess Action RPG's are included in the poll. Oblivion is an Action RPG, there's no arguing that (not that I like game).

Erm....No...  It's just a horrible RPG game :|  Easily the worst Bethesda has ever made and one of the worst to come out recently.

fallout is the best of the best... it the only rpg that delivered the most matured and realistic content that you'd play...

Cant wait for fallout 3 :)

My personal all time favorite RPG is Chrono Trigger. If we're only counting PC games then I would choose Diablo 2.accord100

Without the BG Series, Planescape Torment and KOTOR this poll has the credibility of a poll for the greatest basketball player ever without Michael Jordan included in it. phantom5242

mj is included (fallout), but the other mj isn't (magic - second best bball player of all time), which would be bg2. i'd say planescape is like oscar robertson (one of the top 10 of all time but many times overlooked) and kotor like karl malone (definitely great but not one of the best). and oblivion is like vince carter (horribly overrated).

To the TC: You should have Morrowind up there and not Oblivion. Morrowind is a hundred times over the RPG that Oblivion failed to be.

Don't be so harsh, if he has a moment of out of ideas... All of us happened sometime that our mine blows out and all it's memory it's wiped out like a format...

Out of those choices, Fallout series is cock of the walk baby!

In all seriousness though i would say Fallout is indeed the best one, combat is excellent no twitching gameplay, excellent setting, interesting story quite a few quests with choice and consequence instead of a linear development throughout the game - think modoc in Fallout 2, the master in Fallout etc etc etc

Other extremely fine RPG's, Baldurs Gate 2, Final Fantasy VII and the mighty Arcanum.
