How does DA2 flop with an 8.0 rating? Kevin Van Ord didn't think the game was a flop.:oDA2 and Crysis 2

IL-2 Cliffs Of Dover. what a major letdown...
also the obvious Duke Nukem Forever, but it's not like i was expecting anything spectacular in the first place.
e: also Crysis 2. i was expecting an improved multiplayer over Crysis Wars, but it went to the wrong direction.

That's just like the foolish majority and their opinions that aren't backed up by anything on topics such as religion and politics. You guys have yet to present a single coherent argument. Crysis 2 is in all ways superior to Crysis 1, and people commenting that C1 looks better than C2 suggesting anyone that can't realize this is drunk? The irony, it's like a meteor made of pure iron is due to hit Earth. Crysis 2 objects have more than double the polygon count of analogous objects in Crysis 1, DEAL WITH IT.
Keep drinking that Crysis 1/PC elitist kool aid, it won't do you any good.

Crysis 2 multiplayer only supports half of the number of players compared to Crysis mp/Crysis Wars.
Crysis 2 doesn't supports vehicles in the multiplayer and you barely can drive vehicles in the campaign at all.
Crysis 2 multiplayer under DX 11 barely supports a 10% of the environment interaction that Crysis Wars supports under DX 10.
Crysis 2 campaign and multiplayer doesn't support any kind of real time time of day changes, which C1/Warhead/CW featured.
Crysis 2 water shader model is VASTLY inferior to the water shader model from Crysis 1/Warhead/CW.
Crysis 2 scale is much smaller than inCrysis 1/Warhead/CW and needs to load from the HD more oftenly.
Crysis and Warhead featured nanouits as a credible advanced weapon used by both armies, a useful help but nothingspecial. Crysis 2 nanosuit is a hybrid symbiotic cross between the technology developed by a cryogenized 120+ years old madman and a alien virus that finally ends with the fusion of the Prophet and Alcatraz minds. The plot is pure crap, Stark Trek levels of nonsensical pseudo-science.
Overal, the Crysis 1 and Warhead textures are better than in Crysis 2. The wireframe of the characters and landscapes are also much higher in account than in Crysis 2, reflecting their "build to consoles" natures. Tessellation increases the polygons in the fences, water and walls, but the characters still looks bad. And the facial textures are like a generation before trhe ones from Crysis 1.
Crysis 2 has mouse lag; you need to edit a .cfg archive in oder to fix that. Crysis 2 is also notabily more bugged than Crysis or Warhead: until the 1.2 pacth the lost of all of your catalyst alien points (to invest in the suit, one of the "core mechanics" in the game) was the norm. If yourt main mechanic is flawed, waht that says about your game?
The only point in which I'll conceed Crysis 2 over Crysis and Warhead is the sound: Hans Zimmer and the OST and sound FX team did a superb job, but sound alone isn't enough to revert all the other downgrades. Still, I don't think that crysis 2 was a bad game, but I'll not give itmore than a 6; playing such nerfed game was PAINFUL coming from a big Crysis fan as me.
Duke Nukem forsure, if MW3 is as horrible as MW2 then that could be up there to at the end of the years, well seee.
Cant belive peopel are listing Brink, that game was alot of fun. And the Witcher2?? Flop? That game is the best rpg since Baldurs Gate 2 imo.
I can understand not enjoying a few aspects of the game but overall flop of the year? wow, I am speechelss.

Mw2 imo was horrible too, unbalanced "run n shoot" flat game with old engine... but those 1 game players, who still waste their 8 daily hours playin mw2 are totally satisfied.. and ther are lots of em
Yep, it didn't sell like crazy and the game is actually fantastic, once you get over the terrible controls and bad AI pathfinding and the occasional questionable voice acting (Anjali has the worst voice I heard this year) That's good to hear. I thought the demo was actually decent; I imagine with all the contents available in the full game, it would been pretty good. I'll likely get it once the price drops to about $15 .[QUOTE="flipin_jackass"]My guess is Dungeon Siege 3, but without numbers it's hard to say. Based on the demo, DNF was meh, but I think many (or enough people at least) bought the game for the nostalgia.DanielDust
